Hello Erica, any other autoclaves need apart of the physical parameters, the chemical and the biological indicators to measure the equipment performance

There are some indicators, meaning : chemical indicators that you place inside the pouches and they need to change colors in order to know if the instruments passed sterilisation process. The parameters that are store in the USB that is coming with the Enbio are only physical indicators.
So if everything looks ok when checking in the computer, that's it? There is no other way to check the performance of this autoclave?

@@margaritalucas3709 From the manufacturer: Like every other autoclave, as manufacturer we recommend to use chemical and biological indicators to check the performance.
The USB stores the parameters- the temp and pressure, but it does not check the kill.
The chemical indicators check if the machine reached proper temp and steam saturation.
The biological indicator has to be incubated after the process to check if there is no bacterial spores. That should be done according to the local CDC. We recommend one a week in beauty fields, and every day in medical field like surgery.
