Definition: “I call to set mine”. Call with a small pocket pair in a multi way pot hoping to flop an underpair and give three streets of action to an opponent with trips.
Ethan, Bro! I’ve watched you from the start (as many have), and I think you’re taking the game the wrong way: Sure, there are bluffers (and more as you get higher in stakes), but you still need to remember that most people in big, multi-way pots are just NOT going to try to bluff into multiple people, and more than likely just HAVE IT. You were playing so well, disciplined, and balanced lately, and now, get into a ‘stream’ with big pros, and feel like you have to ‘dust off’ big money - just to beat them? Just to say you beat Ivey, Berkey, etc? As so many of us have learned the HARD way, poker is a game of patience and timing. Be more calculating in picking your spots (like you had been), and you’ll be back to winning, instead of punting. Ego doesn’t matter if you end up broke! Good luck, my friend.
Rampage, what you're doing takes a lot of courage. Putting yourself out there to millions of scrutinizing people isn't easy. But you need to be honest with yourself about who you are right now. You're a gambler, and gamblers aren't good poker players. You're impatient, undisciplined, and superstitious. But don't take what I just said as an insult. I actually admire you a great deal. Staring risk in the face and choosing to walk forward despite knowing you'll get hurt is an admirable quality. But you can't be an idiot when you do. I know it's been some time since this happened, but take this opportunity to reach out to Matt Berkey and get some training. Contrary to what some may say, I don't think you're fundamentally a bad player. I just think a part of you enjoys being a gambler, despite all the pain it's causing you. Granted, if all this is part of some grand scheme to create entertaining content, and you're not actually hurting yourself as much as it seems, then I'd have to commend you for that too. Win or lose, your content is top notch. I just don't want you to hurt yourself so bad that you feel like there's no way out. I don't know you at all, but I wish you all the best, brother.
I think you should pause thsi series and do something like hungryhorsepoker did, and go back to low stakes and set a realistic but high goal for your hourly

But please, just tell me ONE single hand that 55 is beating on that board on the river. A hand that he 3-bet pre, called a c/r on the flop multi-way, bet turn in position , and bet 80% on river. What type monster are you seeing buddy?! GODDAM my heart bleeds as a poker player who loves the game, and has to witness these plays for my own entertainment. What a world eh boys..
“I’ve been so responsible by not drinking alcohol the last few months and then I threw it all away by drinking and driving once and hitting a family of four.” This isn’t poker, this is gambling. You need to stop.
Ethan, you were on pace to be mentioned with some of the best tournament players in the world. It came to you naturally. After you won that WPT World Championship 25K for over 800K I said “this guy is on pace to be in the Poker Hall Of Fame”…what shifted after that win? It’s like you stopped believing in MTT’s and started going super big in cash. It sounds crazy, but I think you could make everything back with a couple huge scores, similar to Chino Rheem. Positive vibes bro
No bro, tournaments are a tough, tough existence. 25Ks are much higher variance than this cash game. Ethan's never been properly bankrolled for any of this, so this was comin no matter what. Especially with the sport book habit, and getting scammed several times.
That's why everybody blows up, they go bigger and bigger stakes, and then they lose everything that they worked so hard for. Never play with great players, especially when you're still a rookie. Look at what's happened to Airball. He admitted to losing over 8 million dollars in a 12 month period. He will never recover for the rest of his life that much money, and it will mentally haunt him forever.
Unfortunately, these types of losses are relationship killers. This is why Daniel Negreanu basically doesn't play cash games anymore. He's learned it's too stressful and there's too many crazy variables.
It's a great play against a capable opponent as long as you were the preflop aggressor. You have all the better kings and block 7s. He basically cannot call unless he has 1 combo of 7s or slow played AK pre. I've actually made this play and they folded trips with a medium/good kicker face up. Only works with maximum pressure though.. not a normal size raise
You used to be fun to watch. Now you’ve become a joke. Perhaps you should get a job to discover the value of your punts. You used to be fun, but now I’m done. Unsubscribed

"because of the squid game", be honest with yourself, you are not good at poker. Your winning sessions are a result of you being a loose cannon with some luck. Every hand you showed the math and logic said to stop putting money in the pot. Go back to 2/5 and 5/10 and grind. Those people are more your skill set and you can 'bully them around'. 100-200 you are just out of your league. Sorry, but truth hurts sometimes.
When I was losing like crazy, I took a long break from poker. Once I get back, I was soo into poker and kicking everybody butts. I think what you need is a break.
Exactly! To chase your losses, further move up in stakes. If not successful, switch to PLO. If also not successful, put all your remaining money on one number at the roulette table…

Poker is at all time hyped up atm. My recent trip to Asia has seen soooo many young people fresh out of colleges and wanting to try out poker pro path, its insane. Maybe its time to take a turn with your channel to help people see the true face of poker. The first ten minutes are just stupid rampage. Why? You don't need to get stacked in either spot. I'm not even done with the video. Man you need help. Poker ain't it my guy.
Been following since you were streaming WSOP bracelet events 4 years ago. The poker was going really well for a bit but for the past year+, it feels like the biggest losses come when you think a player is messing with you or when you are looking to provide action or just tilt in general. It's quite possible cash games just aren't your thing. I'm a winning tournament player, but I can't handle cash. I'm just not built for it. It tilts me and I end up punting trying to bluff people or getting frustrated by what others around me are doing. There's a massive difference mentally between putting up a money amount for tournaments vs having the opportunity to lose or win significant chunks of money in every hand. There's a reason very few people are successful in both tournaments and cash. It requires a different mental skillset. You are a winning player in cash when you are making good decisions, but you tilt in cash. I do this as well and once I figured it out I stopped playing cash. Hoping for the best for you in 2025. Please, for your own good, be mindful of how much of your bankroll you are putting on the line in each of these cash games. Keep your head above water.

The pair 5 hand on the QQ board early on is up there aswell with the craziest calls I've ever seen.
Rampage even said in the video that he knew he was losing bc he knew that the opponent had trips yet he still made the call 😂
Has nothing, no draw, opponent is aggressive: “All in”
Has a great hand: “Check for deception.”
Just no sense for poker anymore. This isn’t a tournament, there’s no rush, be patient! Those opponents are patient, they put their chips in when they finally hit trips.

Poker was my only fun back in the day, every day and every night.
I know this feeling I’ve had it, I’ve experienced it. When you’re so excited but things aren’t going well in the game, it’s frustrating. But I know you can build that money back again. You’ve done it before, and you have the skills. We learn from our mistakes we fall, and we get back up.
I really respect this video. Personally, I couldn’t have recorded something like this myself. You’re brave. So, take a break now, chill for a bit, and play for fun for a while. Get your bankroll sorted, then go and win your money back. I know you can do it. You know you can do it. ⚡️💪
At 12:52 "my hand could use a lot of protection"........ Clearly with that many people involved someone has a queen. 5/5 is either flop a set or fold when you see an over card
I want to note how sweet Xuan was to Rampage at the end. Rooting for him to at least win the split pot. Class act.
She's gorgeous, classy and sharp. She'd stack my heart 😂
if you didnt catch on, its not a "class act" to hope the fish wins half his money back "so they dont go to the blackjack table" its literally just poker players being disingenuous as per usual. lets not glaze this kind of attitude.
I❤Xuan
yeah im sure she REALLY wanted him to get half FOR SURE, she was SO sad when she won.. is this really how you believe human nature is?
She smoking hot

We are watching one man’s dissent into gambling addiction disease hell. He will lose it all at this rate and I’m not just talking about money which he has already lost. Where are his family and friends to help him? Shame on them for allowing this to continue
It already has. This is free falling.
@@johnnguyen6469 the truth is rampage knows he never really tried hard to get good at poker and hes more of a gambler.. he ran hot gambling early and got a lucky bankroll... now he gets paid from youtube and sponsorships so he cares even less about trying to play good poker
This is... NOT the path to $1,000,000 -- turn around at your next exit and start over
He'll get there eventually, probably with a large tournament cash. The GPS is malfunctioning atm.
It IS the path to $1,000,000 (if he started at $10,000,000)
Honestly the way he gambles he could easily make 1,000,000 playing baccarat. However I doubt he has the patience.
I’m 1:03 into the video and I can already see this is dumb. If 150k is really all you got left and you took it out just to gamble your whole bankroll? Moron alert. Can’t wait to watch the whole video to see if I’m right.
Rampage; You always assume everyone could be bluffing, and the only one always bluffing is YOU.
my advice, take a break.

you play like a idiot all in K 7 and much more stupid plays

This is the best advice anyone has given this young man. He truly is not playing any semblance of quality poker and is just down right gambling and playing Bingo. Still young enough to do something positive with his life and escape the clutches of an addiction. God may be his real answer🙏🏼
Outstanding advice for Rampage. This is painful to watch and I hope he indeed gets some help.
you "love him" so much you're giving him the same "advice" a few dozen other people have posted on his YT videos....
You done came a long way from small stakes to punting $100k +
That’s a large achievement. W
Definition: “I call to set mine”. Call with a small pocket pair in a multi way pot hoping to flop an underpair and give three streets of action to an opponent with trips.
Whose gonna text the fish to make sure he's playing? Ivey: I got this

Its a small mitake to get bluffed, it's a big mistake to hero call with weak hands. It's a huge mistake to play over your head. He should get help...
Rampage is on perma tilt.
This is the only comment I’ve read that is really worth it.

With the tears in the eyes at the end, I find it extremely difficult that this isn't actually harmful behavior. Hope for the best
“Maybe folding could actually serve me well” LOL dude.
It's a good thing Rampage has introduced more alcohol into his poker games.
Punt master back at it again!! 😆😭 i love it rammed page i learn sooo much on WHAT NOT TO DO FROM YOU KEEP IT COMING 😆😆😆😬
I think you should pause thsi series and do something like hungryhorsepoker did, and go back to low stakes and set a realistic but high goal for your hourly
Yea sure, except that hungry horse poker plays poker 50x better than this guy
Tbh he should just play lower stakes, but keep playing aggro crazy. He would have good content and just reduce his money losses...
@ no what he should really do is find a job
@ I mean hes a gambler at heart, no one watches him for his poker skills lol thats what gets you views on yt
Rampage couldn’t even come close to Bluffalo Sam’s $37/hourly at 1/3 throughout his VOLUME PACKED $100-$100,000 challenge
You wired all your money and lent Brad 25k. I don't know if I believe the whole broke thing anymore, brotha 😂
13:30 Im amazed by the rationale of the 40k river call.. I mean the whole video is full of absolute highlights of massive poker misplays. And I love it. Thank you.
He stopped playing and started gambling. That is all.
You got this rampage ! 💪🏼
No he was never on track to be a top tourney player. You’re delusional
he was also firing multiple bullets in a each tournament
Everyones hyping the big caps, but XAI44K? Total underdog vibes. I’m stacking up like crazy.
Ladies and Gentlemen: This is a MasterClass on how to set your bankroll on FIRE!
He often says raise to protect my hand when the hand is trash and does better with check backs
I was thinking the same thing. On that kk7 board he said he raised to protect his hand 😂😂😂. What an idiot
Rampage is the kind of guy you happy to walk to ATM to reload and make sure he comes back to your table
when someone tries taking the seat. NO its taken sorry yeah the guys coming back
Doesnt he know he has become the whale in these games? Who in their right mind 4bets Q7 on K7K?
It's a great play against a capable opponent as long as you were the preflop aggressor. You have all the better kings and block 7s.
He basically cannot call unless he has 1 combo of 7s or slow played AK pre.
I've actually made this play and they folded trips with a medium/good kicker face up. Only works with maximum pressure though.. not a normal size raise
@@balbirchahal1890 this works because you are not a world famous punter like Rampage.

Wait, XAI44K might 100x? Need more details on this one. Everyone deserves to hear about it!
Ethan: I just got a text. Phil Ivy is going to be playing.
Me: Ethan no. Please. Not right now.
@2:07 i dont always 4-bet all in but when i do, i have less than 1% equity
I use to watch your videos because It was a good way to learn what to do in some spots now I watch to teach me everything I shouldn’t do.
If you start the year down 500K and end it down 250K, you made 250K in 12 months.

5:00 Dude - 4-4 beats you there. INSTA fold...
When I was losing like crazy, I took a long break from poker. Once I get back, I was soo into poker and kicking everybody butts. I think what you need is a break.
Obviously you gotta play at stakes where they respect your raises. Move up in stakes! Take a loan if you have to.

🤣
Exactly! To chase your losses, further move up in stakes.
If not successful, switch to PLO.
If also not successful, put all your remaining money on one number at the roulette table…
XAI44K hitting 50x feels inevitable. Your analysis was spot on-this gem is gonna explode 🚀

Maybe its time to take a turn with your channel to help people see the true face of poker. Somehow this vlog, if any positive thing to take away, is the ugly side of poker, which can lead immature ppl to dreadful consequences. Thanks for always showing your vulnerable genuine side for us.

Collect some money and next time stake Mariano to play for you. And never sit on poker table again.
Rule #1:
Find a game you can beat
Rampage:
I'm playing Berkey and Ivey!
The first ten minutes are just stupid rampage. Why? You don't need to get stacked in either spot. I'm not even done with the video. Man you need help. Poker ain't it my guy.
When you loose the max and win the min in every hand you play is clearly the road to $1 ...
I agree been watching years now he's definitely suited more to tornements

@@nyrangersfan4578because he doesn't realize what a bad spot he's in just signing up for it. This format is supposed to be for players who've locked up plenty of profit and won't be bothered much by busting out of their buy-ins. It's not the right game for those trying their luck at climbing out of a hole.
The twist is that it's worse, as every new 'side game' variation invariably is. They are ruining poker.
@@George_Taylor_ i can see why you'd say that it's ruining poker. But there's PLENTY of "vanilla" poker games to play in, and if you play poker for a living, I can also see why a variation on the same old thing would become attractive, too.
