My brother, i can't blame them. Let us take a paper and honestly put down the cost of things in Nigeria as at today and we'll be chocked that #615,000 only sound big. What about a car of $160, 000 for the Senators etc does that sound as small money? May be the rich are afraid that the salary will compare with their own. 😂 Imagine how many #615,000 can be gotten from $160,000 for the Senators/Reps cars and allowances. Remember it is for workers' legitimate salary to survive with children 😢. I am not a worker but we should not take side with the govt on this even though they're still going to negotiate. We should fight for the workers today because their market is not different from that of the rich men. Also, businessmen can only be in business when workers earn enough to buy from them, same as Landlords or is govt going to rent the houses? It is a chain event. May God help us in Nigeria. Thank you.

Why is Mr Abati alway sliding to the side of the govt?. How many percent increament do we have on things like petrol and bag rice? When you finish with that calculation. Then come back and calculate how much percent increase should be right for minimum wage?.

Minimum wage of 615k can't work you people 🤦♀️. There are about 800,000 civil servants in Nigeria. Currently at 30,000 naira minimum wage, every year Nigeria uses up 288 billion naira to pay workers. What these people are suggesting is that that value should be increased by 2,000 percent making *5.9 trillion naira*
Nigeria only makes 11 trillion naira in revenue each year, and these people want a combined salary of 5.9 trillion. Doing this will literally half Nigerias revenue. It maked zero sense

You are not okay for civil servant to be paid well but you okay with politicians to keep stealing your money.

@@ray-df8bq These people are acting very naive. If they increase a civil servants salaries to that extent, the same will apply to Tinubu and his cabinet. You see, a bulk of the money a senator collects is used to control his constituency. This includes bribes, and giving money to people who beg for help paying bills. That is one of the ways the can alleviate some of the strife. Not only will Labors ridiculous request cut into revenue, it will dicatate that those senators and commissioners get increases too. How are they going to run their states when 5.9 billion dollars is now removed every year. It's as if Labour is not thinking ahead at all

Most states can pay it. How much is stolen or mismanaged? Eg: Bello destroyed a road during elections, wasted money to fix that road again.
