  • After weeks of bad weather in the Tuamotus, we decided to sail to Tahiti in search of a protected anchorage we could relax and re-provision in. 🌧️ Unfortunately, that was easier said than done! 😅

That would be very stressful. For all its beauty and calmness underwater it seems a bit chaotic on or near land. Its not like a car trip where you can find the next rest area and get some rest. But I did so love the underwater scenes. So tranquil, who knew so much florescence could be so calming.

If it were easy, everyone would be doing it I guess! We’re thankful to be here regardless- hoping to make it back to that beautiful reef soon! 🤞🏼

Well certainly many challenges but you guys seem to always make it work. Very interesting video and some great scenery. I hope you eventually find your spot and get some eggs. Great video as always

Bummer on all the roadblocks. 😢 Certainly not as friendly as other channels indicate. It will be good indeed to get some rest and find some provisions. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 See you next time. ✨🌊💨⛵️🏝️👙🌞✨

Be careful swimming in this anchorage, in Moorea. One of our friends lost there son a couple of years ago, due to a speeding tourist boat racing through the anchorage.

Yes, thank you for the important reminder. That is such a tragedy. I wear a neon yellow float, bright colored swimwear, and pay close attention to my surroundings. Thankfully there was no traffic at all through the anchorage that day!🙏🏼

I watch many sailing channels. What is going on in Tahiti? Upset locals and angry dogs. Have they decided they don't need tourist dollars? I'm glad you found a tranquil resting spot.

It does seem exceptionally crowded here this year. 🤷🏼‍♀️ We’re trying to be respectful as we are guests. Hoping to re-stock the boat and move along!

🌅Thanks for sharing ⛵ Yes, Why is Tahiti rejecting Cruisers...or is it all tourists??

@solartime8983 from what we’ve heard, locals want the luxury tourists staying at resorts, but dislike the sailors living off local resources and polluting their view.

@@HollyandRay Makes $ sense but as a former Guam resident ('94-'97) I would rather see sailing ships moored in bay than a Giant cruise SHIP⚓

There shouldn’t be a block at the clew of the foresail. If that hits done one on the head you may not tell the story. It’s dangerous.

I'm concerned for her safety when she's out there swimming. Those currents can take her away.

Holly is a very cautious and strong swimmer! Plus, she wears a neon swim buoy and I keep an eye on her when she ventures out alone. In this video, the current was pushing her toward shore as well.
