Is build to rent a good idea?

    Generally speaking, the sector wouldn’t term a scheme funded by individuals as “Build to Rent”. Such schemes would be too small. I’ve been in the sector since it’s inception in 2010 and my experience is with institutional investors where scale is one of the drivers to invest. We would normally term a smaller scheme as ‘PRS’ as it’s not wholly owned and operated by a single entity; a key feature of BTR.

      Hi Richard, I appreciate your term of reference. It is a term you use as a professional working and facing experience in the field. The words used build your rent means just that from a layman’s perspective. Again though I understand your professional term of reference.
      I have the same issue when it comes to layman’s terms and tax terminology
