I have made about a hundred quilts in my life and I can tell you it's not you it's the carpet. Move your cutting board to a hard surface and it will be easy peasy. The carpet is just absorbing your force. Keep up the wholesome content.
You should keep the tails, ears, horns the extra stuff you cut off and put them all on one squishmellow. Frankensquish

This is a great way to upcycle squishmallows. I'm sure at some point people are going to downsize their collections as they get older. Love it.

I’ve been waiting for this video for a long time!
To fix the corners, you could crochet a strip that is the same length and both sides and the bottom and sew each panels to one side of the strip. It’ll give a little more shape so the corners look nice and makes the tote bag bigger so you could put more in it without it getting very stuffed and round.

Raven, I think the tote bag turned out super cute, 100% not cursed. What a cute craft and amazing way to save wayward squish from the thrift. I see some many of the them at the thrift store and now I want to learn how to crochet so I can make one of these bags!

Hi raven! I crochet a lot as well. I think the corners are funky because you sewed the length way and not double crochet like you did on the bottom. I think what would work nicely, is you can buy bag bottoms (places like Hobbii sell them) I think that would help even it out. But obviously this is super amazing. I might try it!
