@@ianlainchbury if it's working. It's hard to argue with. Especially if it's all you had at the time. I use 3 in 1 oil on my 2 steam locomotives. And steam cylinder oil in the lubricators. So far so good. I haven't seen any adverse wear as yet. And have a few hours run time on each
But its not going anywhere, change gears :-) lovely bit of kit , fascinating there a antique one ending on ebay u.k on 46 mins at nearly £500 already. I love old engineering.
Maybe. There's a similar none speaking video on CMS's youtube channel also...and tbh, it's dead easy. You can run them on a bicycle pump :) Brilliant little engines requiring very little work to set up.
What an absolutely stunningly beautiful engine Ian.
Many thanks Blue Heeler :)
Marvellous 😊
Well done, Ian! That beam runs a treat and it looks like you thought ahead with that extra globe valve for connecting an additional engine. 👍👍
Thanks Mike :) Now... I wonder what I could connect to that?...... ;)
That's a real beauty Ian
Thanks Ade. I'm hoping to run a few engines off this plant :)
Wow! I need one of those in my life!
Chiltern Model Steam. They do some great engines.... from about £120. :) Thanks
Ian Lainchbury really wow! Fantastic
You're the first person I've ever seen that lubricated the entire engine with steam cylinder oil. Rather than some other type of lubrication oil
Yes Timothy...not ideal either, but at the time, that's all I had. It seemed quite happy, but it's way too thick.

These ones are cracking Steven. Only built this one last year mind. Perhaps I should have fitted gears and wheels lol :D
Could you maybe do a speaking tutorial on how to run it?

Ian Lainchbury thanks!
Why can’t you recommend please?
It's a figure of speech.... if I can't recommend them highly enough, this means in fact that they really are brilliant :)
Ian Lainchbury ok Thank you very much
