I have a design for a 500 lb moving platform. It measures 50 inches x 24 inches. Will the 20-2040 extrusion handle the weight if disturbed equally? I am using 800 lbs casters. I tried contacting 80/20 directly but they told me to contact a distributor. I have been waiting 1 week for a reply.

The response I got from John and our engineers, was that the most common way is to use "Gussets," and remove the anti-rotation gusset tabs first. Another option is also just drilling a "through hole" in the middle of the extrusion and screwing it to the wall.
