I did not expect to see Naysha but she literally looks so gorgeous. The thigh high stiletto boots with the black in the dress and that perfectly styled hair is breathtaking.
I think Trixie recently said that WOW mainly chooses LA queens that are nearby the studio. When she did Pit Stop for S13 they did it virtually so they could get more guests without flying in

Thank you for pointing it out and making sense of it: it would never have occurred to me that it was supposed to be a codpiece. And I guess that's why so many people are so confused about this specific part of Raja's outfit, which looked more like a super expensive platinum diaper. I agree with Bob and Naysha that the look would have been better without that piece. (On the side, I also burst out laughing when I heard Ru's deadpan joke about Raja's friends: so stupid and witty at the same time!)
Now that Dan has enlightened me about the codpiece intention-for which I am thankful-, I think that codpiece WOULD have been an awesome element indeed if Raja had worn it without revealing so much of her thighs. Had she, for instance, worn those infamous Balenciaga medieval knight thigh boots that Alexis Stone has so gloriously publicized in one of her many outstanding Mrs Doubtfire looks for the brand, then the reference would have been much clearer and it would have been game over for everyone else on the runway 🙌 (although I have to say The Vivienne's look was just a showstopper for me).

I was honestly surprised that Jaida did so well, despite working so closely with Jinkx in the challenge. Like, the fact that Jaida didn’t get completely swallowed, but actually complimented Jinkx’s character… Mindblowing.
Jada was very much giving “Look Over There” vibes when she called out Monet for not being blocked yet! And I didn’t even consider the strategy behind passing the xylophone to The Vivienne during the lip-sync. If that was done with the intentions to keep herself from being blocked, then Bravo 👏 👏 👏 because she is playing the game really smart!

There are so many talented, fun early out queens that you know it would be an entertaining season and you know Naysha would be bringing it hard. I do hope they do it. And it would be a total gag if they bring back Serena ChaCha one more time (just to send her home early again).

Have to admit I was surprised at some of the judging this episode. I didn't think Shea or Trinity's runway looks were very good, and I'm surprised Yvie didn't get more praise for her improv. Raja overlooked for the third week in a row. Also I really liked the Vivienne's look but I think they went a bit over the top about it.
i wanted the vivienne to win from the beginning, but hearing them go on & on about her runway felt so like .... we didn't need to be hand held into understanding why she was in the top 😭

I agree! i maybe wouldn't have been my fave for another look, but it totally worked with this one. She also mentioned the Cruella inspiration for the look- so I felt the wig was mean't to be like Cruella's black and white one, but with a more porcupine inspired palette ☺
I feel like sometimes people dont understand hair that is high fashion (not usually what i would say abt Jinkx), that color combo was serving early 2000s, ugly beautiful high fashion.
I'm not a huge fan of the wig but it did evoke porcupine because their spikes are often blonde/beige in colour. It's not to my taste but I can see why they chose it for this outfit.
Spikes on the runway was the perfect opportunity to do a riff on spike from buffy the vampire slayer. Bleach blonde hair, huge billowing leather duster, vampire fangs, etc

Yvie is wearing pointe ballet shoes with heels, a fashion designer recently used them in an editorial. I used to be a ballet dancer and danced on pointe (like Brooklyn Hytes) and if they aren’t broken in and fitted properly they kill. Good for her! I love that it gives her a preying mantis look in a good way!
I did a photo shoot with a pair on years ago, they were NOT broken in. And my feet still hurt when I think about those shoes. But damn they're beautiful and so cool.

* I thought Jinx intentionally flopped on the lip-synch, because she didn't want to block another queen. (For the same reason she wasn't interested in the alliance, and as she'd already won immunity with second place. Maybe she didn't want the small purse if it meant making another enemy, you know? Maybe I'm being naïve.) * I was not a big fan of Raja's Grandma, (it wasn't bad, she was just outshone by others,) but her runway was beyond anything I've ever imagined. It's spiked armor. She used materials and included details that blew me away. I kind of think that the runway alone was good enough to get her the star. I mean the mace, the armored chest plate and codpiece, the warrior crown?! * I loved Monet's mohawk with vertical baby hairs. That was amazing. * I'd thought Jada brought the xylophone in case she was the one lip-synching, and just decided to give to whichever queen made eye contact first.

I think she could have lost the drapey bit in the middle to show belly or have a sculpted armor piece, that kind of ruined the flow of the outfit. Surprising to me cause she knows how to put together an outfit and pay attention to details.

I LOVED, the Fairytale Justice Theme! From the hair styles, to the special FX makeup to the costumes & to every single little detail. It was just phenomenal all around 💕
What I think raja was going for was almost armour for battle, she has the knee pads, the chest and shoulder area padded and protected then the like groin guard. It's almost a take on football body armour but made into a fantasy princess warrior
God, Naysha look in. cred. able. She really is one of my favorite queens. It sucks that some queens get 2/3 all stars invitations and queens like Naysha, Joslyn, Darianne etc haven't been on yet.
Trinity is one of the funniest queens without being a comedy queen. Southern queens (that includes Bob and Bianca) tend to be naturally funny in general, like Shangela, Alyssa, etc.
I honestly thought it was going to be Viv and Trinity. Don't get me wrong I love jinx but it felt a little one note and forced. While Trinity has this effortless comedic movement.

I'm so surprised you guys didn't touch on Yvie's big bad wolf! I thought it was one of the best of the challenge- top 3, if not top 2! Also loved her runway this week :) So nice to see Naysha on here too.
I agree, Yvie was GREAT in this challenge! She did that character so incredibly well, the characterization and voice and body language and all the little details to make it more wolf-like was just [chef's kiss]. Jinkx and Viv did great for sure but Yvie really deserved a lot more recognition than she got for her performance. Plus how she was in both scenes, and while she was "in the audience" during the Goldilocks trial she remained in character while the others were doing their scene!
I definitely would have put Yvie in the top with the Viv! Her improv was great, and her look was way more interesting than Jinx's (which didn't even read as spikes). I think Jinx did well in the challenge and I'm rooting for her to win overall, but I think Yvie deserved more recognition this week.

The thing on her crotch is called a CODPIECE y'all. It's a historical protective piece for the crotch. Love the way she always references historical pieces in her looks ❤
It was a very nice reference but I think because the dress piece was a weird length with it that it made the codpiece a little distracting.
Yeah I mean I called it a chastity codpiece lol. They do love a good reference, but visually it is a distraction in a not so great way. Especially the way the drapery on their midsection drooped over it... it just looked a bit weird to me
Have to admit I was surprised at some of the judging this episode. I didn't think Shea or Trinity's runway looks were very good, and I'm surprised Yvie didn't get more praise for her improv. Raja overlooked for the third week in a row. Also I really liked the Vivienne's look but I think they went a bit over the top about it.

Finally someone said something about Monet's snout. It was upside down and none of the judges mentioned it! You know they saw it!
I noticed it wasn't glued down properly, until later when interviewed by Ru. It was touched up by then.
I think her actual real nose didn't allow her to glue the snout down properly on the sides
What they should have been focused on was how dreadful Monet was in the challenge. That alone is blockable
why would they focus on the bad things if there's no bottom placements?

I thought Jinx’s wig was nice 😅. The shape was evocative of a porcupine, in her signature color, and the streaks were meant to play to the look of the spike texture
I agree! i maybe wouldn't have been my fave for another look, but it totally worked with this one. She also mentioned the Cruella inspiration for the look- so I felt the wig was mean't to be like Cruella's black and white one, but with a more porcupine inspired palette ☺
It also gave a feeling of a slightly older, wealthy woman...with the streaks creating a little age.
I feel like sometimes people dont understand hair that is high fashion (not usually what i would say abt Jinkx), that color combo was serving early 2000s, ugly beautiful high fashion.

I'm not a huge fan of the wig but it did evoke porcupine because their spikes are often blonde/beige in colour. It's not to my taste but I can see why they chose it for this outfit.
Spikes on the runway was the perfect opportunity to do a riff on spike from buffy the vampire slayer. Bleach blonde hair, huge billowing leather duster, vampire fangs, etc

Yvie is wearing pointe ballet shoes with heels, a fashion designer recently used them in an editorial. I used to be a ballet dancer and danced on pointe (like Brooklyn Hytes) and if they aren’t broken in and fitted properly they kill. Good for her! I love that it gives her a preying mantis look in a good way!
I did a photo shoot with a pair on years ago, they were NOT broken in. And my feet still hurt when I think about those shoes. But damn they're beautiful and so cool.

That being said, most of the weight is on the foot. I spent years doctoring my sisters toes after her dance class. Lots of dancers use foam and silicone inserts, toe wraps, etc to help pad their feet.

There will probably be a twist that people who’ve been blocked or don’t have stars will compete in a lip sync battle thing and the winter gets to lip sync
* I thought Jinx intentionally flopped on the lip-synch, because she didn't want to block another queen. (For the same reason she wasn't interested in the alliance, and as she'd already won immunity with second place. Maybe she didn't want the small purse if it meant making another enemy, you know? Maybe I'm being naïve.)
* I was not a big fan of Raja's Grandma, (it wasn't bad, she was just outshone by others,) but her runway was beyond anything I've ever imagined. It's spiked armor. She used materials and included details that blew me away. I kind of think that the runway alone was good enough to get her the star. I mean the mace, the armored chest plate and codpiece, the warrior crown?!
* I loved Monet's mohawk with vertical baby hairs. That was amazing.
* I'd thought Jada brought the xylophone in case she was the one lip-synching, and just decided to give to whichever queen made eye contact first.
I had the same thought about Jinkx throwing the lipsync. Cuz she really wasn’t trying hard at all.

Raja’s runway conjured up an entire Star Wars meets Never Ending Story space opera. It was definitely top.

@@seniartkreatif I think it's meant to be like the protective armour panel that warriors would have down there. It's just a shame she didn't have more armour plates like it over the body to make it feel more cohesive.
I think she could have lost the drapey bit in the middle to show belly or have a sculpted armor piece, that kind of ruined the flow of the outfit. Surprising to me cause she knows how to put together an outfit and pay attention to details.
I haven't kept up with Naysha since S8 and I've got to say- what a lovely guest!!! First of all, STUNNING. Second of all, I love the way she and Bob interact- the whole video had such a good vibe!

What I think raja was going for was almost armour for battle, she has the knee pads, the chest and shoulder area padded and protected then the like groin guard. It's almost a take on football body armour but made into a fantasy princess warrior

Trinity is one of the funniest queens without being a comedy queen. Southern queens (that includes Bob and Bianca) tend to be naturally funny in general, like Shangela, Alyssa, etc.
I honestly thought it was going to be Viv and Trinity. Don't get me wrong I love jinx but it felt a little one note and forced. While Trinity has this effortless comedic movement.

I'm so surprised you guys didn't touch on Yvie's big bad wolf! I thought it was one of the best of the challenge- top 3, if not top 2! Also loved her runway this week :) So nice to see Naysha on here too.
I agree, Yvie was GREAT in this challenge! She did that character so incredibly well, the characterization and voice and body language and all the little details to make it more wolf-like was just [chef's kiss]. Jinkx and Viv did great for sure but Yvie really deserved a lot more recognition than she got for her performance. Plus how she was in both scenes, and while she was "in the audience" during the Goldilocks trial she remained in character while the others were doing their scene!
I definitely would have put Yvie in the top with the Viv! Her improv was great, and her look was way more interesting than Jinx's (which didn't even read as spikes). I think Jinx did well in the challenge and I'm rooting for her to win overall, but I think Yvie deserved more recognition this week.
