I know alaric was trashy sometimes to but many forget on how after her parents death he was really there for her all he wanted to do was protect her knowing she's the powerful creature she will be always targeted he never wanted her to become the tribrid because he knew she will never be able to handle more pain . I accept alaric was trash but hope said it herself that he was the closest thing to a father for her😊
