@BoringFisherman custom bracket put on the back? Or you just reinforce the transom and install? Wireless steering too? Or cable? And also do you still own the boat and run it? Any structural integrity issues after using it for a while? I'm very curious if it's worth a swap from inboard to outboard in an old aluminum boat. Would be a nice project if it's worth it.
@@nnNUBSss 100% worth I put a 115 merc command thrust on a homemade bracket have 150+ hours on it with no issues. New transom wood and some bracing to the inboard engine mounts
@@Fishintom01 thank you for the input. I'm really thinking about doing this and redoing the interior in an old aluminum boat instead of dreaming about purchasing a newer boat lol.
why aren't you trimming up?
Didn't want to
That’s awesome!!! I wonder how fast mine will be with the 165hp. If I ever get it running lol
Should do good with that 165.
New injector works great!
When those motors were good, they were good!
Is this a 21’ islander? And do you have a build thread somewhere about the swap?
22' and I only have a handfull of photos from the job.

What mount did you use, and how fast did it go this time?
I'm not sure what mount you are asking for. And I made 34mph gps. I even said it out loud in the video.
@@BoringFisherman How did you mount the outboard to the transom since wasnt this a I/O boat originally?
@@MindofMatter used an offshore bracket.
@@BoringFisherman Ok thanks. I am working to buy an I/O one with a bad motor and outdrive so looking for Outboard options. I will google that product.
