How can yall sit there and say. He is moving around because he is valuable!!! 😂 that's totally not the reason. Teams don't want him. Wake up. If he was that great...no team would let him go. Denver is getting him dirt cheap
Skip gets a lot of hate but I’m with him on some of the Russ. The one thing I will say in his defense is that KD was right about Russ back in OKC saying he couldn’t win with him as the PG. THAT version of Russ wasn’t winning with KD. He was WAY too selfish when KD was clearly the best player on that team. Durant should have been getting at least 5-10 more shots a night that Russ was taking. He used to take some really bad shots. He still might but that version of Russ isn’t current day Russ & not just because it was 10 years ago. As a Nuggets fan, I wasn’t really feeling the Russ rumors of coming here. I’m still curious why Jokic wanted him but he is a big upgrade Reggie and in many ways, KCP. He will 100% get starts but to make him the PG, moving Mal to the 2 where he doesn’t have as many favorable matchups especially in the west. Ant, Booker, Derazon, Luka/Kyrie, J Brown, George, etc. sure there’s great PGs too but he just matches up better. Jamal has proven he can handle defensively the bigger matchups in the playoffs to some extent, more so in the title run then last year. Jokic too. But you can’t expect him to play great defense with that injury & manage the offense. The thing is asking Murray to give up the ball and become a shooter after how beautiful the 2 man game is. That really changes the offense and you’re asking Russ to handle the level/flow we have because we have arguably the best offense in the league but for sure the West. But maybe that’s something Jokic talked about with Murray and they wanted to give Jamal some rest on the offensive side. Having been out so long with the first time to come back be healthy but then go down as often as he did last season, maybe he’s wanting to change up his style of play. The thing is can Russ handle that workload with a deep playoff run with a starter workload? Most likely. He’s been durable and is consistently on playoff teams. Dallas is scary now with the additions they have. Losing our 1st round pick to Achilles changes things but we’ve got a handful of bench guys who are ready to show out. Braun is extremely physical & athletic. So much like Russ. Can’t shoot either so you hope that he at least has a chance to improve his jumper. Russ, you don’t expect him to have this dramatic change in his 3pt shooting. We like Watson and he is definitely going to continue to develop his offensive game. You hope he keeps adding size/weight because he is dangerous on defense. Even if he just sticks to the mid range & post game, you’re happy to get some offensive production after collapsing in that dept multiple times against the Wolves. We get past them & Murray stays healthy/playable then we prolly going b2b. If you’re adding Russ, you need to add 1 more veteran shooter to pair with because there’s not much in our bench.
I think it'll be crazy for Malone to start Russ. I just don't think that's the plan unless Murray is out for a couple games or something. Also, Murray doesn't have many favorable matchups playing the 2. Murray is not big enough to play SG. Not to mention Russ is only 6'3". So I still think it's best for Braun to start and have Russ be the backup PG running the 2nd unit. Losing DaRon Holmes freaking sucks. I would argue that's the biggest loss this offseason, more than losing KCP because we have guys like Braun who can step up and try to replace the starting SG position. Although, I would say it's maybe a year too early for Braun to start and if given the option of course I would keep KCP for least 1 more year before handing the baton to Braun. In terms of versatility at the PF/C position, we don't have a player with a profile like Holmes on the team who can shoot 3s and playmake a bit. Then, on the defensive end, he can protect the rim and even guard around the perimeter. On paper, he's like Zeke Nnaji but with offensive upside which is pretty good. But all that is thrown out the window this year with the Achilles injury. And once again, we have to rely on Zeke Nnaji and Vlatko Cancar to provide the front court depth alongside Dario Saric. I guess to play devil's advocate, there's no guarantee that Malone would have played a rookie that many minutes in the 1st year anyways. With Cancar back healthy now, the team does have other options they can go to. It's just that it would have been nice to also have Holmes as an option to help the Non-Jokic or Non-AG minutes. Time will tell if those guys are enough to backup Jokic especially in the playoffs. As for the shooting, I fully expect Julian Strawther to be the SG off the bench. He's young but you can argue that he's already a top 3 shooter on the Nuggets. And this is the dilemma Nuggets have to face. Soon or later, you have to play the young guys. Braun, Watson, and Strawther all need minutes to develop. Finding that balance between playing vets vs young players is key. Malone already messed up by not giving the young core players enough minutes. For example, he played Reggie Jackson all 82 games last season. He can't do the same thing again but at the SG and SF position. By bringing in a veteran shooter, you would risk stunting the growth/development of Julian Strawther. I think that's one of the reasons why the team is not looking to bring back Justin Holiday. He played well in the playoffs especially in the Wolves series, but him being on the team would mean less minutes for Strawther or even Watson. I like the addition of Russ to be honest. He is what the team has been missing ever since Bruce Brown departed. He can play that Bruce Brown role but more at the PG position with his ability to handle the ball and put pressure on the team. Russ's athleticism is also an element Nuggets never had at the PG position. Even at 35 yrs old, he's still a great athlete who can catch lobs with ease. We need the Clippers version of Russ because I actually think he played his role pretty well over there. There will always be some inefficiency with Russ, but I personally think it's manageable as Russ is coming to a team that already has an established system with clear defined role for each player. After all, he is indeed an upgrade over Reggie Jackson 100%.
Get Lil Wayne outta here! The Denver Nuggets have a great shot at an NBA Championship. Westbrook has been on so many teams though. Is he locker room cancer? Regardless Jokic is the best Center in the NBA. It's not even close.

He is gonna win a ring. Nuggets in 6 over Boston.
The Nuggets I thought had a really stacked team..... the missing piece in my mind is that Jokic isn't trying to maximise his physical abilities as he always comes in watery, soft and pudgy looking. That kind of lack of muscle tone is attributed to two things, low testosterone from drinking alcohol/high sugar and no meaningful lifting of weights at 50-70% of your 1RM. Could he be a better defender? What do defenders always rely on? Bodies that are insane physical shape. Jordan, Hakeem, Wallace, Giannis, Lebron.... they have the extra for amazing defence because their body's have the muscle and conditioning. Same for Luke. Watery, soft and red cheeks, Beer. Worst thing for your hormones. Jokic recently looked thinner with a Tan in the Olympics and his testosterone looked much higher. The extra muscle and testosterone will also make Luke and Jokic less laid back in their attitudes. Like Embiid/Porzingis/Davis with injuries, Giannis/Lebron with shooting, Karl Anthony Towns with his masculinity, Tatum having a left hand, Gobert with an offensive game, Shaq with his free throws, Barkley/Zion/Kemp with their diet..... People like Luka, Jokic, Durant, Divac, Holmgren, Wembanyama are all calm and a little aloof but if they maxed out their potential in the gym their careers would be better.
If anyone can make Russ value goes up its Jokic and the way he's playing cutting and slashing Russ can be a real good piece on the Nuggets

Couldn't make a jump shot against anyone. Just 27 percent from three last year.
They full of crap about Russ....like his energy....but nothing else
How many highlights did you have to go through to find one where he actually makes the 3?! :-D
How can yall sit there and say. He is moving around because he is valuable!!! 😂 that's totally not the reason. Teams don't want him. Wake up. If he was that great...no team would let him go. Denver is getting him dirt cheap
Jokic said he wanted him on his team that’s valuable
No, Lil Wayne got retwisted, dreads cut, trendy attire. Aedin
Kevin Durqueen needed more help
After all, he is indeed an upgrade over Reggie Jackson 100%.
u need a job homie
@@gamebredluis got my own and I’m not your homie
@@LLawliet-tv9ig That’s what I said, Mal doesn’t matchup at the 2. Neither does Russ.
Mark my words, Russell Westbrook to the Nuggets is going to be a nightmare in the league!
You mite be right
And again and again and again the Russ Excuses
Get Lil Wayne outta here! The Denver Nuggets have a great shot at an NBA Championship. Westbrook has been on so many teams though. Is he locker room cancer? Regardless Jokic is the best Center in the NBA. It's not even close.
If he was locker room cancer teams would not want him 🤣
Skip always sound like a hater
Russ is actually gonna get a ring
skip doesnt deserve keyshawn or paul pierce they are the worst analyst ive ever heard , lil wayne gets a pass just because he is the goat.
Westbrook is they most underrated player of my generation 3 triple double seasons before him only one player did that. Dude has more heart and is more real then any other player in NBA
Keyshawn shouldn’t be allowed to talk basketball yo , pp said Russ is a starter on the nuggets
Are you sure taking the ball out of murray hands & making him the 2 guard isn't going to mess up the chemistry?
@@Tone22845that’s not taking the ball out?? Y’all said this with pg,Beal, harden who had career years with him
@@imhimdk1785im talking about the team. Every name you just mentioned the team didn't accomplish anything. You're question doesn't make any sense at all
@@Tone22845 you’re talking about chemistry not accomplishments. This is Russ best shot to win a chip since okc tbh. Id understand how y’all can’t see Murray playing the 2 wouldn’t be great. Do you know how many open shots mpj and Murray are going to get playing with Russ?? And then the dish off to Gordon and jokic when he drives are going to get them easy baskets. It just sounds like y’all just don’t actually watch Russ play and go by the media
@@imhimdk1785 I'm not saying murray wouldn't be successful playing the 2. But for the team he's a better option as the point guard
As a super alpha male, the very first or else personality, Russ Westbrook is unpleasant character and that is why he could not blend with many teams so far. If he does not click with the super pleasant character Joker and the coolest crew in Denver, he has to retire.
Same clowns that said lebron makes everyone better 😂
Lil wayne doesnt know shyt lmao he did that skip nobody else lmao no shyt
Russ made the nuggets a play in team.
Ur crazy
@basilcarpenterjr1592 long as he come off the bench they will be cool

@SteveoDuhh ha! I really don't care much. But history says he can't get it done. Now ring chasing... nuggets didn't get it done and I don't think he the missing link to Denver
Bro got a dilapidated tab apple too high to comprehend wtf is going on or who tf he’s sitting with. Don’t do drugs kids.
Yeah but losin Reggie Jackson And Katvouis Caldwell Pope their Losin Jumpers and 3s they not winning Another Championship
Russ gone be turning tha fuck out that ball over but he will give denver more running opportunities dats all i see in crafty stops on defense anything else russ gone be russ
The ball is barely going to be in his hands? He’s just another distraction for Murray, Gordon, Or MPJ
His game didn't adjust to lebrons game because two Ball hawks can't play together..
Skip down playing the triple doubles is pure dog sh*t man
Skip is westbrook biggest hater
Russ is entertaining to watch, but never had the winning formula. Players like Rajon Rondo were able to dominate without the jumpshot and Russ is kind of a simmilar player. But Russ keeps making stupid decisions in the clutch that are incredibly costly. As one youtuber said before - with Russ you keep asking two questions:
1) Wow, how did he do it?!
2) OMG, why did he do it?!
Being God-like one day and a disaster another day isn't exactly the winning formula. Let's see. I don't bet on Nuggets this time.
I'm afraid this is going to destroy Denver.😢
All five of his previous clubs are still recovering from Westbrookation effect.
Lakers was a bad fit, last year with the clippers he was the only one giving them a chance against the suns, he carried the wizards to the plsyoffs by himself, in houston he played great until he got hurt and wasnt fully healthy and they got beat by the clear cut best team in the league and he is the greatest player who played for okc so I would say not to bad for his last 5 teams
@@danielxcha Dude owns the lowest basketball IQ, bricks shot, stats padding, followed with huge ego. How that helps any team is beyond me.
@@danielxcha "he carried the wizards to the plsyoffs by himself" --> First, he did not carried Wizards by himself. lol. Wizards was a play-in team at that time and almost all teams from 7th seed to 10th seed were below .500 (except for Celtics who were the 7th seed and in .500). Bradley Beal was also 2nd in league scoring and played 60games for the Wizards.
@@LeonarRonquillo beal was hurt a lot and russ definitely carried a shit wizards team which was one of the worst teams when he got traded away again to the playoffs
@@danielxcha Beal was hurt? He literally played 60 games while averaging 30+. Sure he was hurt but that 60 games he played was a big factor in their wins as well. To say he carried the Wizards by "himself" is just pure BS.
Bro why cant players/ex players not at least be honest about russ. Hes incredibly inefficient and low bball iq which has always been his problem. 27% from 3 when youre being left literally wiiiide open is horrific
Skip ain’t no hater, Not especially when it comes to Lebron lol
But everything he says about Westbrook within the past 3 seasons has been true!
Westbrook is simply a liability on any team he’s on unless he goes to a sorry team with no all stars. Then he might look like the he MVP Russ because he’ll always have the ball, and will be allowed to be himself
Keyshawn is a 🤡
westbrick makes every team worse. lol. what lilliard did to the bucks westbrck will do to the nuggets. these people have no basketball knowledge at all and just am talking from personal feelings for westbrick.
You wanna look at one of the most mismanaged players look at westbrook. westbrook, melo, pg, was never beating gsw, westbrook and harden are a terrible fit harden is a high volume guard westbrook is a ball dominant fascilitator, westbrook in wasington he and porzingis played good and actually almost made the playoffs at one point but beal was hurt and isnt that great and westbrook wasnt gonna win, the lakers got him and had no shooting then blamed him for every problem, the clippers and him were doing good then they trade for harden who doesn't fit at all with westbrook, now you got Westbrook with shooters, cutters, and the best player since lebron, and jokic in his prime plus guys like murray and porter nearing their primes.
