honestly I think this AMV just helped me understand Beau's offer more. I no longer see it as someone running away from their problems, more as a someone who undervalued themself and thought it was the only way to show their worth
I see it as her assuming that the Mighty Nein was too good to last, and she'd already reached her peak, so she tried to cut herself off- because if it's going to end anyway she might as well control how and when. That's kind of how she explained it when talking about it afterwards.
I'm so glad you incorperated the interaction with the hag, Isharnai. In the episode itself the emotional weight of Beau's offer to the hag got overshadowed by the brilliant trickery of Jester, only moments later. However, I believe that Marisha was truly considering to give up Beau's connection to the M9, just to get rid of Veth's curse. That interaction was powerfull.
And then the episode after, the Mighty Nein managing to convince her to stay, pulling her from the edge of oblivion. And from there, she realized the error of her logic: that she was nowhere near done with her life, that there was so much more waiting for her to experience. Such as a life with someone she loves.
Old comment but I felt the same way. I get why but it was still kind of sad. The scenes of her preparing to see her father, dealing with him and then the confrontation with the hag were some of her most pivotal or emotional moments. I also fully think Marisha was about to sacrifice Beau for Veth, only for some in the audience to yell at her for “trying to steal the spotlight”. Ironic considering her chance to address her backstory basically became a minor one conversation side quest in Veth’s story. Beau’s backstory and the resolution of it sadly just felt like it got breezed over a bit and not given quite the weight it should have had. Still she’s arguably the most fully developed character in the M9 by the end.
Marisha was having a break down in real time. Ya could see her trying to come to terms at the table of giving up Beau. That she could just hold herself, shake and cry. I watched that episode exactly once when it came out and that shit is etched into my mind.
Everything about this was perfect and it sums up how much Beau has not only grown since her father essentially sold her away to that corrupt corn husk of a man Zeenoth, but how much she kept bottling up her sorrow and her feelings all throughout, just pretending and lying to herself that she’s fine… until she finally breaks down not in her house, but alone in Isharnai’s hut. It’s only then that she breaks and cries, seemingly convinced that there’s nothing left for her that could possibly be GOOD. And yet, despite all of that… she still barely holds herself back from accepting that deal that would destroy her and her friend’s bonds forever. And it was that hesitation that saves her. I also liked that you made sure that Clara was NOT in support of her husband’s decision, pleading with him to reconsider. It only furthers makes the catharsis of his and Zeenoth’s fall in court all the more palpable.
Beau is hands down my favorite character of C2 and I was so excited to see an animatic about her! I was then blown away by how incredible your art is. You perfectly portrayed her best and most pivotal moments throughout the campaign and then the self destructive behavior she showed after meeting with her family again. Absolutely amazing and beautiful work!! Edit: Also just noticed how her dad’s shirt is yellow, a color in which Beau stated that she despised. Incredible attention to detail!
And then that final frame… where she just barely pulls her hand back from Isharnai’s. So close to just taking that deal, so insistent that she’s peaked… and yet she hesitated. Because she knew that she’s just lying to herself, trying to sabotage her life on purpose. And that hesitation is what saved her.
I remember first starting Campaign 2 and seeing rather early on comments about Beau. One in particular that stuck with me is someone saying that Marisha wrote herself into a corner with this character. I can't really remember the logic behind their reasoning, but I remember that even by that point Beau had gone through some significant character development since the start of the campaign, and she ultimately ended up with one of the best arcs of personal growth in the Mighty Nein. It was gradual, realistic, and just very well done on Marisha's part.

AHHHH I love this so much. The DRAMA of the transitions, Beau pulling Fjord away as they're surrounded by fire, the images of Beau being so happy with the Nein and THRIVING T___T! Everything was so good, especially the little details like the horse footstep matching that sound in the song makes it all so cool!!
Every community have people that lash out. Personally, "Pop-pop" has given me a lot of strength, if not for more than it being a really funny catchphrase. Beau has always been the character I vibed with the hardest.
Accidentally had this on 1.5x speed and didn't notice a thing until I checked the speed. The fact that the animation looked so smooth even speed up is such a testament to how good this is. It's so so good, you did such a good job
@@samanthasolboe4474 it's a whole thing of using things at extra speed to get through faster, but like, yeah it's so good that it was like "this is normal"
Speeding Animations up make them even more smooth looking since it's more frames per second, most may look weird but they do almost always look smoother
The M9 were hero’s that the world never knew about it unlike VM where everyone knew. I actually that fits the M9 so much better. They know what they did and for Beau, she learned that she really did matter and self value was more important for beau than value needed by others
Why does this song rip open every hurt and scar when I hear this. From my only brother dying to finding out I can never have a family of my own I can hear this song with tears and TH-cam seems fit to stick it on my playlist every chance it gets
I cannot believe I went this long without seeing this, but I'm on my second time listening to The Mighty Nein, and you've made me cry like a baby. I absolutely adore the style of your animation, and the focus on the eyes of the characters, and how much emotion you convey through them is just incredible. It's just beautiful in every way, thank you for this!!!
I just want to say as someone who fell in love with critical role through campaign 2 I found myself wishing that I was like Molly but instead that I was like Beau. I fought with a parental figure who was everything from physically to mentally abusive but treated my mom right so I never said anything. I was shipped out to a religious school and that is where I learned to defend myself from bullies both physicality and mentally. I won't lie there are nights I lay in tears but I suck it up because I've also been the person standing just short of death because I couldn't handle it anymore. I'm still here, I'm here for the few who care about me. And I'm here to take care of myself and the 2 people who are my family Beau taught me a lot and I hope they could teach others as well. I will note I am very drunk when writing this sorry for misspelling and stuff hopefully I got my point across
This music is just perfect for a rough and tumble tough character with a rough childhood, isn't it? Rachel Lindt and Beau would probably hate each other
The synchronization of the rythm and the images is truly on point, all is perfectly smooth and said images are magnificent ! Thank you for this beautiful animation and cheers from France !
I expected to resonate with Fjord, but when i got invested in Beau's story... I felt every bit of her anger and rebellion because I wanted that for myself. i resonated with Beau. I was treated as a mistake after they did everything to make me something they wanted, ince all of it came crashing down, they resented me.
i love how the climax of beau's self worth arc was her being willing to sacrifice everything for her friends/Veth but it all got figured out by blue tiefling chaos magic. trust your friends!
These moments of character growth were so impactful in campaign 2. It made it so much more meaningful than just dungeon crawling and boss killing. The number of quiet asides between characters, glimpses of the past and contrasts with the present really made these characters feel so REAL and relatable. And while I found the ending of the campaign a little squicky (body horror really gets to me), I think Campaign 2 and the family of oddball, broken characters, will always be my favorite.
UMMMM Not you making the most metal Beauregard animation ever. Wow this was amazing. Beau is my favorite mighty nein character. I love her arc and this animation tells her story soooo well.
AAAAHHH this is sooo cool!!!! The progress of Beau finding people that she cares about and who care for her and the friendship then having to face her father again
God, this gave me absolute chills!! Watching Beau interact with her family was so painful for me and this amv kinda brought all those emotions back sldkfjk
This entire thing is amazing. The cherry on top is the last still of Beau being reprimanded for almost giving up her family, but it's a good reprimand. I remember Fjord poking at her reminding her they all care about each other.
I'm going to watch this at least ten times today. The timing, the animation, the song choice--all perfect. You've awakened all my beau feelings and I'm so grateful you've shared this art with us
Just got out of therapy talking about similar stuff to this video and was recommended this when I got to TH-cam. Beau was so important to me for helping me learn to accept myself (not quite there yet). I needed this video right now. Thank you for making it, it's so well done, and I loved the way it connects her life up to when Yasha was made to hurt her too. That hit hard
Nostalgic, angry, sad, happy, so many emotions surfaced after watching it. I would like to praise this but can't find words. All I can say is thank you for making it.
I do not know how many times ive watched this, but everytime I do Im reminded of how much respect I gained for Beau's character growth and Marisha's ability to play it. I love all of the Nein, but I definitely put Beauregard Lionett somewhere near the top of my list.
Every so often I come back to this video, and every time it still makes me cry. Don't know if you'll see this, but thank you for making this. Love the art, love the music choice, love the way you tell her story
oh my god, the animation and art is beautiful, everything moves to the beat of the music, the expressions are absolutely flawless. Beau's face each time you show her break down just crushes me it's so beautifully done!
I’ve been looking forward to this for ages and it does NOT disappoint! hands down the best Cr animatic I’ve ever seen. Love how you contextualized beau’s story
this was so good omg i love beau so much and the scene with the hag immediately made me cry she was in so much pain that you captured so well and im so happy that laura bailey came through with the cupcake/memory wipe clutch becuase i really think beau wouldve gone through with it amazing art 10/10 im gonna rewatch and cry
I have watched this animatic so many damn times, and am only now noticing how Beau’s parents’ yellow is the complimentary/exact opposite colour to Beau’s token blue- the symbolism, man
Beau also mentioned hating the colour yellow a couple times in the campaign, so another added visual element/symbol to her childhood trauma in the video if someone wants to interpret it that way.
This was so good! It has been so amazing to watch Beau's character development and to watch her grow from a literal angry punk that just wants to fight and f#$k things up to someone who actually almost approaches respectable and, what's more, actually gives a damn about herself and others. This REALLY captured her journey, and I love it!
This is so amazing! I haven’t seen a lot of beau focused AMVs or PMVs and you conveyed her story super well, the feelings displayed through the art are amazing and seeing Beau get attention makes me very happy. Great job!
That ending was a chef's kiss. She was willing to give up everything for her friends. That's how valuable they are to her. It's a moment in the Mighty Nein that gets overlooked, but is super important.
I have watched this a minimum of 30 times in the last two days and I am absolutely amazed with the artwork and timing with the song! You are a treasure and I wish that you could animate the entire Mighty Nein campaign for a series for all the characters or even the campaign itself. I would pay for a Netflix series in this art style of the campaign!!
My god. I've watched this a couple dozen times now because it's just *so good*. The way it catches that underlying emotion in Beau's story that she brushes over as a character - you can feel her sense of isolation in none of the other characters' being visible, except to look down with just one eye, except the hag. Also, that glance towards Nott as they're approaching her home that hurt her so badly, just... Everything. So good.
Never watched by critical role but this come up in my recommendations and I’m glad I watched! Gorgeous art set, wonderfully animated and perfectly fitting with the music in both lyrics and rhythm!!
Along with the billion things I love about the video, I love the incorporation of Marisha's mannerisms from the wiping the tear at the end to Beau sitting on the desk at one point. LOVE this.
I just want to say thank you for making this, this video and the Whitestone one set me off on my road to becoming a huge CR fan. I had happened upon your videos one day because I like to follow TH-cam animators, and watched them, then I got really curious what they were about so I checked it out and the rest is history. So again thank you, I may never have dove into these wonderful worlds with out you 🤗💜
i’ve been meaning to watch one of the main critical role campaigns for a while and i’ve always been scared off by the long runtime, but after watching this i feel like i’m missing out on such a good story by putting it off. incredible work
This was great, I always thought that Beau's character doesn't get enough love. Everyone made amazing character with real growth, but Marisha did it in such a natural way and it touched on a subject that Im sure some can relate to.
This is amaaaazing, holy shit - aside from the gorgeous animation and illustration, you have such a good eye for story progression and the right moments to capture to really encapsulate an emotion and mood for the story and the character. It's so good!!! Thank you!
this is my top 2 videos of all times, love it so much beau and caleb were my favorites. Your artistic vision to the character and the choice for the music is just perfect. Sending you tons of love and good luck on your life!!!
I found this animatic months ago and I thought it was amazing but I had no clue where the characters were from and I recently got into critical role and I was watching the intro for campaign two and was like HMMMMM this looks like the character from that one animatic ahhhh!!!! They’re the same I can’t believe it took me this long!!! Amazing art!!!!
I came back to this after I finished the campaign because I watched this maybe 5 episodes in. It has aged like the finest wine for me. And this song rings in my head whenever beau did something in the campaign. This is one of my favorite things period
Not to downplay the animation and how it captures Beau's story, but this video is what put Lincoln on my radar. Guy's got some amazing music. Thank you for letting me know he exists!
I sent this to my brother and he had....emotions: "I know so little about CR and yet I have watched this twelve damn times, at least one of which involved tinkering with the YT speed settings (listen to it at 1.5, seriously!). That song is a damned mood and there is so much in that video..."
I just finished episode 93, and holy shit I love this video so much more than before. Perfect song choice and perfect interpretation of moments from Beau's story. Well done!
I love what you did with the eyes: most people don't have them, the people in the paintings and Beau's dad each have one (was it intentional for those to add up to 9?), and Beau's the only one with two
Thoreau Lionett was an utterly despicable tyrant of his household, a terrible husband to his wife, and an absolute failure of a father to his two children. He very stupidly made a deal with a hag, abused and isolated his own daughter and treated her like she was a mistake, and literally sold her into the Cobalt Soul to a man with no morals or ethics. Seeing him get the justice that he richly deserved in the end - and in spades - was amazing.
OH MY GODDDD OH MY GOD OMGOGMOGM aaaaaaaa this is so beautiful. the EYES. the moments when the characters sing the lyrics! beau in shadow closing the door!!! 10/10, absolutely stunning work
I LOVE this video. Beau was my least favorite at the beginning of the campaign, but after a long time of watching and tagging along with a ragtag group of people who compliment each other so well, it's SO hard to not love every one of them in completely unique ways. Beau can be frustrating at times, but her motives are so relatable and her outlook on things is honestly unique from most fictional characters I've come across. Marisha herself is definitely not my favorite player, and she is honestly probably the reason behind me not getting Beau very easily, but after a while, there's been moments with every player at the table that's annoying or frustrating. It all evens out in the end, and I've come to really like Beau as a character, especially her relationships with the others. Fjord, Caleb, Yasha, Veth, all of them have such great moments with Beau. Marisha is an amazing roleplayer and can REALLY dedicate herself to being consistent in her personality and what her character would do.
I cannot get over the shot shifting from her changing expression to the Hag on the roof, right when the song hits that beat. Italian chef emoji. Raw perfection, nothing else I've seen captures the energy of that whole arc in Beau's story. Love it so much.
Stumbled back onto this again after a while by accident and i'm in tears again, her whole journey of being treated like a worthless fuckup, and then finally having a group of people that don't think of her like that, and her offering herself up?? the line of "I don't know if I count, but I'm trying my best" fucking destroys me you did so well with this video oh my god i'm crying
WOW. Saint Bernard is one of my favorite songs, and seeing how flawlessly you connected the lyrics to Beau’s story is incredible. Plus, gorgeous animation to boot! Seriously, great job.

@@Kris-wo4pj Honestly that entire episode still gives me chills
Holy shiiiiiit this is so incredible. The timing with the music, all the details and the way you colored everything so gorgeously blows me away!!
Thank you!! :'D
@@AdamEspersona exactly!!
If I remember right Sam was also wearing a bright yellow shirt when she said that too rofl
Dude you just painted Beau in a light that i never appreciated till now, her story arc is actually incredible
There are many Critical Role amvs and tributes out there but this video and your Percy video are truly perfect...the perfect songs match the perfect visuals to make the perfect videos. I know this sounds like I am overstating things here but the level of quality in your videos is worlds above anything else that I have seen. I know this level of quality takes time with the year gap between this video and the Percy video but please keep making these videos! Take your time because I will wait for these videos! Keep up the amazing work!
Well, now I gotta find the Percy video.

Hope Campaign 3 gives us something great to build on!
The percy video is like a go to for me when I'm thinking about the Briarwood arc. Honestly stellar work.
I literally just did the same thing! That’s so weird
@@samanthasolboe4474 it's a whole thing of using things at extra speed to get through faster, but like, yeah it's so good that it was like "this is normal"
Speeding Animations up make them even more smooth looking since it's more frames per second, most may look weird but they do almost always look smoother
*tries it* OHH i like it sped up
The M9 were hero’s that the world never knew about it unlike VM where everyone knew. I actually that fits the M9 so much better. They know what they did and for Beau, she learned that she really did matter and self value was more important for beau than value needed by others
Why does this song rip open every hurt and scar when I hear this. From my only brother dying to finding out I can never have a family of my own I can hear this song with tears and TH-cam seems fit to stick it on my playlist every chance it gets
god... watching Beau hyperventilate and tear up just really hits me every time, amazing AMV!
And I'm here to take care of myself and the 2 people who are my family
Beau taught me a lot and I hope they could teach others as well.
And Cupcakes!
I just love how this very serious animation has to cut off right before jester does her cupcake thing cuz it’s got a tone,
And it’s gotta keep it
UMMMM Not you making the most metal Beauregard animation ever.
Wow this was amazing. Beau is my favorite mighty nein character. I love her arc and this animation tells her story soooo well.
This is a masterpiece. Beau looks so good in your artstyle, the song is perfect and the storytelling is *chef's kiss* . Incredible work!
This is incredible. Like, literally one of the best fan animations for CR that I have ever seen.
Heartbreaking and also very good! ;v; The last frame with Fjord and Veth comforting her was by itself,, comforting to see
Very nice work!
I’ve been looking forward to this for ages and it does NOT disappoint! hands down the best Cr animatic I’ve ever seen. Love how you contextualized beau’s story
this was so good omg i love beau so much and the scene with the hag immediately made me cry she was in so much pain that you captured so well and im so happy that laura bailey came through with the cupcake/memory wipe clutch becuase i really think beau wouldve gone through with it amazing art 10/10 im gonna rewatch and cry
i really love the eye imagery you incorperated the way those single eyes just stare at the audience and beau is so eerie i love it
I have watched this animatic so many damn times, and am only now noticing how Beau’s parents’ yellow is the complimentary/exact opposite colour to Beau’s token blue- the symbolism, man
Beau also mentioned hating the colour yellow a couple times in the campaign, so another added visual element/symbol to her childhood trauma in the video if someone wants to interpret it that way.
@@taqueets_ Ooooh!!! I didn’t know that! That’s so clever…..
Great job!
Beau showed us how a child who isn't given enough attention will turn rebellious to feel accepted.
That ending was a chef's kiss. She was willing to give up everything for her friends. That's how valuable they are to her. It's a moment in the Mighty Nein that gets overlooked, but is super important.
She didn't see how much it would have hurt them if she actually went through with it
This is the most beautiful this i've ever seen.
HOW DO YOU ONLY HAVE 1,601 VIEWS ON THIS?!?! IT'S A MASTERPIECE IS WHAT IT IS
hey just wanted to say I regularly come back and rewatch this video because of how awesome it is
I have watched this a minimum of 30 times in the last two days and I am absolutely amazed with the artwork and timing with the song! You are a treasure and I wish that you could animate the entire Mighty Nein campaign for a series for all the characters or even the campaign itself. I would pay for a Netflix series in this art style of the campaign!!
One of the best AMVs I've ever seen. The song fits Beau perfectly
This was beautiful. I liked the little moments between fjord and beau that you added, their friendship was one of my favourites in the campaign
This is so nicely made, I hope that Marisha will see it
Your two videos, My Friends, and Dear fellow traveler are absolutely best in class.
LOVE this.
I love this so much, you never fail to capture the emotion of the characters and I love your use of music
I got chills so many times watching this. I JUST passed Isharnai's cabin. Very fresh.
I just want to say thank you for making this, this video and the Whitestone one set me off on my road to becoming a huge CR fan. I had happened upon your videos one day because I like to follow TH-cam animators, and watched them, then I got really curious what they were about so I checked it out and the rest is history. So again thank you, I may never have dove into these wonderful worlds with out you 🤗💜
Ahh, I love this! The timing of the beat and the moment-to-moment highlights of the campaign - beautiful job!!
i’ve been meaning to watch one of the main critical role campaigns for a while and i’ve always been scared off by the long runtime, but after watching this i feel like i’m missing out on such a good story by putting it off. incredible work
This was great, I always thought that Beau's character doesn't get enough love.
1:19 This short silent scene just gave me goosebumps!! The whole video is a masterpiece!! ❤️❤️❤️
The perfect feeling when a song perfectly fits a character
clicked so fast, that is absolutely beautiful. Love it!!
Every time i listen to this song i picture this animatic, frame for frame. It's the Beau song now, to me
I came back to this after I finished the campaign because I watched this maybe 5 episodes in.
I love this! The quality is through the roof
I think this is the best animatic I've ever watched of any theme ever
So i discovered this around a week ago and I have come back every day at least once to watch it. It's really great
The timing of the slap and the horse hoof,
Amazing work
The sheer emption to the beat and the mood of the art. It makes me Feel things. All of the Things.
The drop/tone shift at 1:23 actually made me jump. Absolutely awesome!
I sent this to my brother and he had....emotions:
"I know so little about CR and yet I have watched this twelve damn times, at least one of which involved tinkering with the YT speed settings (listen to it at 1.5, seriously!).
That song is a damned mood and there is so much in that video..."
I just finished episode 93, and holy shit I love this video so much more than before. Perfect song choice and perfect interpretation of moments from Beau's story. Well done!
I love what you did with the eyes: most people don't have them, the people in the paintings and Beau's dad each have one (was it intentional for those to add up to 9?), and Beau's the only one with two
Omg you capture Beau beautifully!
Marisha is an amazing roleplayer and can REALLY dedicate herself to being consistent in her personality and what her character would do.
oh JEEZ i just realized the way you used eyes in this. so upsetting, so good, i love it sO MUCH
Just realized that they replaced her portrait with her little brother
oh no, i didn't notice that. T_T aww
I cannot get over the shot shifting from her changing expression to the Hag on the roof, right when the song hits that beat. Italian chef emoji. Raw perfection, nothing else I've seen captures the energy of that whole arc in Beau's story. Love it so much.
I might be crying.... Dude dude dude dude beau is my favorite and i love this SO MUCH FFJDGSJ
Ok everyone always talks about the cupcake that episode so the deal Beau almost made doesn't get mentioned a bunch so nice job including it.
I’ve watched this video way too many times, but I love it sooo much
0:15 Beauregard's first experience with a stunning strike, brutal
this comment was brutal!
