I live about half an hour from New Hope, PA. I went to John and Peter's on a friends tip that Dean's jam band plays every Wednesday. I got to meet Dean and even sing with him for a Johnny Cash and Stones song. Now that was before I started playing guitar, they do take people who can play from the audience sometimes. Can't wait to go back and actually jam with him this time! Great dude inside and out.
He also did buckingham green from live in Chicago in one of his live streams (my suggestion 😊) he live streams for four hours on Tuesdays (?) where he takes live requests from the comments section.
Chocolate and Cheese gets as much play time in my house as American Beauty, maybe even more. And I must say bassist Dave Dreiwitz has the two best gigs ever, playing for both Ween and JRAD.

I always get recommended your videos and never bite because most reaction videos on YT are cheesy and way over embellished but I've been on a Ween kick and thought I would give this one a shot. I am so glad I did you are a fantastic teacher, laying out the chord progression and explaining what Dean was playing was a great exercise and I will definitely be watching more of your videos. I strongly recommend listening to more tracks from the Live In Chicago show. The recording quality is so great, and Ween songs take on such a different character when they're done live. The older recordings were very rough, it was the two of them only with a 4-track backing them. It's amazing to hear the live versions and go back to what they came from, realizing it's the same song at it's core, but just so much more fleshed out and full with the whole band backing them.

Ween is another one of those groups that you really need to listen to their entire catalog, or at least three albums, to fully understand. White Pepper is probably the best album to introduce a new person, but there’s a lot of crazy gems on their other stuff.
White Pepper is great but I would venture La Cucaracha because it is clean and has a flavor of all their talent. Shinola is my favorite to have someone who is interested just dig in.

Eric Clapton once said something to this effect on soloing, “It doesn’t matter if its not right, if it sounded good once, play it over and over again”! I just stumbled across your videos and Wow. I haven't heard Ween in years. I stumbled across Ween in the early 90s and I just found their music to be sooo mellow. It's great music to drive to if you are on a long drive and by yourself or with Ween fans. I had no idea there was a pattern to the music. I just remember how it flows. Joe Satriani would be my all time favorite though. Surfing with the Alien and Always with me, Always with You are my most favorite songs after all these years.

Back in 2013 I played a show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park NJ and as a 23 year old kid I shot Deaner an email as a shot in the dark to see if he would come watch my band at the time play. Long story short, I don’t think me made it (good thing cause I was pretty inebriated and would’ve made a fool of myself if I got to meet the man) BUT he replied and told me that, because of my last name, if I had family in a certain area of NJ that we would be cousins! How freakin cool is that!? So I did some digging and low and behold... we aren’t cousins. However! I still got that last name and in theory it had to come from somewhere down the long line of generations so I like to think there’s still a chance 😎🤙🏻. Great video man! Love Ween. Love the Boognish. And Deaner, if you’re seeing this, I’ll never forget that highlight of my young 20’s! Keep on rockin’ boys!
Dean dropped a solo on fluffy that was so long and mind blowing I literally forgot what song was even playing for almost 10 minutes at Stubbs in Austin. (This was a few years After the "Live at Stubbs" album released. I was not at the album concert.)

Hey Micheal, I’m pretty new to your whole channel, but I’m in love with your content. You’ve done a couple of videos over one of my favorite artists, Tyler Childers, and both of your videos regarding him have been full of heart and emotion just like his music. If you are looking for more of his music to react to I very highly recommend feathered Indians which is my favorite song by him, or and I almost recommend this one more Follow you to Virgie which is one of his most emotional songs. If your just want to give it a listen, I recommend watching the video he did with red barn radio for Follow you to Virgie, he explains what the song is about and gives it one more layer of meaning and emotion that just leaves me stunned! Back in 2013 I played a show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park NJ and as a 23 year old kid I shot Deaner an email as a shot in the dark to see if he would come watch my band at the time play. Long story short, I don’t think me made it (good thing cause I was pretty inebriated and would’ve made a fool of myself if I got to meet the man) BUT he replied and told me that, because of my last name, if I had family in a certain area of NJ that we would be cousins! How freakin cool is that!? So I did some digging and low and behold... we aren’t cousins. However! I still got that last name and in theory it had to come from somewhere down the long line of generations so I like to think there’s still a chance 😎🤙🏻. Great video man! Love Ween. Love the Boognish. And Deaner, if you’re seeing this, I’ll never forget that highlight of my young 20’s! Keep on rockin’ boys!

NO WAY! I love Eddie Hazel! At the studio I intern at my producer/boss showed me him cause you can hear a lot of Eddie in John Mayer(who I'm also a huge fan of) and that got me hooked on Eddie. Love the content!
