My significant other is totally hooked on sourcing. However, I am the sole comp-list person. It is so easy to source, and quite exhilarating to find potential $ in items. “Dial it down” has become a new mantra❤️
I love dial it down. I’m going to use that. You’re so right that it’s easy to accumulate but what is really important is listing and moving things along. Knowing your buyer and pricing it accordingly is so important.
Nice Easter finds. I like a sale where there's space to sit and think through your purchases like the two of you were able to do. The wall to wall buyer situations where you can barely move are the ones I tend to buy very little from. I need space to think. 😄
We couldn’t agree more. We’re trying to practice this when we pick from now on. It helps us take the time to think again on whether it’s a good buy for reselling.
Really appreciate the strategizing, good for all of us to hear different strategies to continue to source wisely re $$ spent, value and resale- ability. I also look for bundling potential. 😊
Glad it’s useful. We find that we need to have this discussion regularly to ensure we’re making good decisions. Not to say we always get it right but we try.
Haha! Oh how I wish that were true but nothing too crazy in the way of arguing. We mainly only bicker over organization. That part is hard and just a constant on the to do list.
I like to buy easy to list items with barcodes as they are so easy to list and I can feel like I got alot listed . Most my store is not those items though.
sad to see the man who was such a BS'r- telling you that such things were guaranteed money! And then you paid $50 for the small bag of items? I feel so bad for you! Please don't let people take advantage of your good nature. You will find your way in reselling. Please don't be discouraged. But you might need a tougher skin and negotiate better
😂 I know. He’s a friend and just has a different idea about the margins of buying and reselling but I don’t need to prove anything to him. $50 felt fine to me. I sold one cd for $25. They also need to make money.
Vintage Easter is such a fun find: less was made, less was purchased, less was kept. 😉
Yes yes and yes! Love finding the holiday decor that is on its last leg.
