A successful connect 3 firmware update from D205 to D605 with SanDisk Cruzer Blade 2.0 usb which I bought from Amazon.
The usb must be usb2, because the update does not work with usb3.
1. First format the usb with Fat32 from your PC
2. Download firmware D605 to your PC and transfer the files to usb.

3. Insert the usb into the plug as can be seen in the video from the post and start the engine of the car.
4. Open service menu in connect 3 (Search on youtube if you don't know how to do it)
5. Select and press Version - Update of system software - Ok - Update
6. Drive a long trip for 56 min until the update is downloaded 100% without turning off the engine. Turn on the auto off button so that the car does not turn off at a traffic light when you stop for red.
7. Congratulations, your connect 3 is now updated to firmware D605 and it is your own responsibility if you make this update.
