One of my main edc’s is a Glock 27 with an oem Glock 33 barrel installed. I also have a Glock 9mm conversion barrel. This video was made a year ago and prices have dropped. I picked up a box of 125 gr Speer gold dot 357 Sig for under $30. A month ago I bought some boxes of 124 hsts in 357 Sig for $35 each. I shot some gold dots today and they’re just as accurate as ever.
Convert your .357 sig to .40 s&w. Put your favorite .357 sig carry ammo through the gun and make sure it functions. Try to put 600 fmjs through it and 200 jhp of your choice through it. Then you know its reliable. .40 has the same recoil just about, practice with it by getting a .40 barrel. Put 100 rounds of your preferred. 357 sig jhp down range a year, make sure it's functioning. Keep a notebook and take pics. Remember how your favorite load shoots in your gun and where. Buy bulk .40 and keep practicing. Try to average 100 rounds a week at the range. I go to the range twice a month to practice. I put 200 rounds down range each time. I also carry a ruger LCR as back up off hand. If my gun jammed in closer encounters I can try to switch off to the lcr for quick center of mass shots incase its too risky to try to clear my gun. Also if my main hand is shot/injured i have a fighting chance with 5 rounds of .38 +p golden sabers. Sometimes also when dealing with knives the revolver might be better simply incase you end up in hand to hand or his body is pushed up against your gun. Could push gun out of battery or could be you shot him and his clothing got stuck between the barrel and slide making the gun useless in the moment. Is this being overprepared? Idk. I do know I have a pregnant wife, a disabled father, and 3 little doggos who depend on me for protection and I'm going to take every advantage I can to make sure I come home at night. I even wear soft body armor under my jacket lol. Oh well I feel much better knowing I did all I can though. 👍
357sig is a 10mm cut down then necked to fit 9mm. Youre right about it not being a 40S&W. I have a 229 in 357sig and 40 i love the 357sig. Want to get a Glock 32
I have the 33, but train with a 26. Guns are nearly identical in size & weight so the 'feel' is the same but I get the benefit of shooting the much cheaper 9mm.

The huge benefit of the. 357 is actually the velocity/speed of the bullets. They get their FASTER. IF you study the velocity speeds of a .357 round vs a .9mm or other rounds, they get there faster. So for me, if I can fire off 5 rounds for example, and know they are hitting the target substantially faster and harder vs say,.....2 to 3 rounds from a slower round .9mm, I would rather have 5 bullets landing down range than 2 to 3 rounds just leaving the barrel from a .9mm, if that makes sense? Now, you put a lighter 70gr Liberty Defense-type round in the .357 for even higher speeds and velocities, then it's really Game Changing. So that's my thinking. Lighter rounds with higher .357 velocities to begin with, and that's my EDC. 👍

I've seen decent .357sig FMJ prices, 50 round boxes 📦, 2023. Defense, duty .357sig is honestly still 📈. I own a few after market .357sig barrels, ammunition. Is it super great? No. But the .357sig is still a potent ccw load, powerful.
357 Sig hands down best EDC caliber you can have on you. Carry my P320 Compact everyday in the hood and take it out in the woods here in Idaho. Go further north 10mm in the Woods
I’m definitely looking for a gun for protection and just in general but really for protection so trying to get something small I was thinking of getting the Glock 19 and I seen this gun or the G43 9x19mm
Another thing to consider is mag capacity and compatibility, certain states only allow you to carry 10 rounds in the gun but if you’re fortunate enough to live in a state that’s more realistic/lenient with gun laws then you should consider more the double stack as any double stack 9mm magazine will work with the 26 but you would need special mags for the 43 single stack option
I love the Glocks that are chambered in .357 Sig. the 31 is great just too long, the 33 is the PERFECT size but it’s faaaar too snappy for the .357 Sig round in such a short barrel, but the Glock 32 is PERFECT! Compact, big enough to send that Sig round down range with less recoil than a .40 cal, .45 and of course 10mm. Only a LITTLE more kick than a 9mm… The price doesn’t bother me too much, the one thing you may need to get use to is the BANG on the .357 Sig round, IT-IS-LOUD!!! lol but it STOPS the target in its tracks ONE shot
Still have to purchase the barrels you can do the same with the G-31,32 or 33 🤔and why would you need anything else if you have a 357sig 🤔 other than to play with

How anyone would want to carry these tiny sidearms is simply amazing to me. As demonstrated in this video, the thing doesn't even fit in the hand properly! I carry 357 Sig as my EDC every day, all day .... but it's an M&P full-size 4.25" barrel [with an Olight WML] and it doesn't print whatsoever. Unless you're a fat midget, I just don't see the point in substantially compromising velocity, and power with these little midget EDC's. ~

Fair enough, but I think you'd be surprised at how much bigger you can go in size/speed/power, without compromising much on comfort [provided you have an appropriate holster setup]. My EDC is shooting at supersonic rifle speeds (e.g. 2,200-2,280 fps), without compromising much at all in terms of comfort. Then again, I am tall and slender. ~
They're trying to get rid of the 357 sig, many of these so called firearms experts (social media experts) who favor the 9mm argued that the 357 sig had too much pressure and destroying the pistols prematurely, then they switch to 9mm+p+ had the same ballistics to a full power 357 sig. And they argue the ammunition was too expensive. The 10mm Auto was said to being hanging on a thread, but look that it's comeback more popular than before.

liberty defense is an easy round to shoot but i saw a guy in an interview say he shot a carjacker in the chest with one and he lived

SPN check out defender ammunition!!! Supppppeer cheap .357 and functions great in my g22 with a conversion barrel. Fired 200+ rds no issue.

The Glock 43x and 26 are amazing carry conceal options. Can’t go wrong with any of them. The 43x might fit your hands better tho

You can get a Tuarus G3 for a couple hundred less probably the best budget 9mm..
