This is part of the Living History Project of the Magothy River Association: Fort Grey - Mount Misery, April -May 1861, a forgotten event of the Civil War. Danielle Dupcak and Paul Spadaro have patiently unearthed new documents, letters, and newspapers articles that confirm the crucial actions taken by the New York Eighth Regiment on Mount Misery in April-May 1861, for the protection of the Capital and the newly elected President Lincoln. The documentary features interviews of Civil War scholars as well as two reenactments. It is directed by Charles Germain.

This is a well done, fascinating history of Mount Misery. I was born and raised in Severna Park, but would not have learned about Mt. Misery without the efforts of Paul Spadaro, Charles Germain, and others. Thank you.
