- In this battle between Reisen and Youmu
Storyline:
Youmu cannot find her mistress' (Yuyuko) watermelon. When Youmu caught Tewi holding a watermelon and gave it to Reisen, she decided to raid them to capture a watermelon
A really well animated fight over a melon
welcome to gensokyo, where any argument is settled through battle, and I still laugh at the case they kinda both lost this fight

Not sure how they were able to get Aoi Yuki to voice Youmu and Sawashiro Miyuki to voice Marisa, but is nice
Aoi makes more sense when you consider that, like Aki Toyosaki (who voiced Suika in the previous episode, was still only rising through the ranks after voicing Yui in K-ON!), she was considered a minor-level actress as production for the second episode predates Madoka Magica's initial air date in January 2011 and was at that time, mostly known as the child that featured in Appare Sanma Dai-sensei, a comedy variety show.

Read her game profiles, read what Eiki says about her in PoFV, read what Akyuu says about her in PMiSS, see how eager she is to behead Marisa ISIS-style in FDS. She's literally described as a tsujigiri -- a samurai who practices their swordplay by using living, innocent people as target dummies. This obviously kills their targets. ZUN has consistently written her as a bit of a crazed axe murderer for decades now.

@@beanshapeAli Please read your own sources, because you're blatantly misrepresenting her character and don't even understand the sources you're bringing up, in fact half of them imply or state the opposite of your "crazed killer" claim. Game profiles do not describe her as a crazy killer anywhere, Eiki only scolds Youmu about her using Hakurouken on phantoms and Youmu did indeed presumably stop doing it after that & even showed regret for it, Akyuu literally described Youmu as forgiving & opposite of a crazed killer. As for that FDS scene, there was a major incident going on with major trust issues & Marisa was thought to be possibly possessed and such. You are just completely wrong all around and Youmu is not this crazy serial killer you're making her out to be at all.
