    That product needs to be shaken for ages to mix it properly. I had that same lack of results at first, but then I noticed how much thicker the goop was at the bottom. I’m probably not the first to say it though, but those sanders are less than $75 per day to rent.

    Wagner paint eater would have finished that in 1 day. Random orbital with 40grit 50 pack diablo discs.

      I did it myself with a drum sander, went against the grain then smooth marks out with the grain. Took a few hours 2-3hours. The edges plan on using some chemical remover

    We tried the stripping solution and it did not work either. We have all of the deck flooring replaced and we bought need spindles to replace ourself. He is sanding the area that does not come off.
    He is so sick of sanding, I think has at least 30 plus hours in so far and we hopefully can complete it this weekend. Good luck.

    *You can rent that floor sander from home depot for $62 a day and with that sander you can finish sanding your whole deck in 1 day, then just wash and apply your new semi transparent stain.*

      So do I use just need the sander or do I use paint remover and pressure washer first?

    You made me laugh!! I enjoyed your video! I thought it would be easy, power wash and apply more deck over paint. OH NO! It is peeling everywhere! I found bad areas. I am on day one and I have already reached out to a somebody to do it for me!

    I learned the best way to remove the stripper is with a very high powered pressure washer but it does require a few applications depending on how heavy the stain is. Only required light sanding when done

    I used Jomax striper and power washer. I sprayed it on and waited 15min and power washed it. No scrubbing needed. DID NOT TRY ON A SOLID STAIN. I used clear stains for 15 years and then I used a semi transparent before I completely removed the stains with the jomax.

    Boiling hot water.... it works! I made the mistake of putting this horrible stuff on my deck. Pour hot boiling water on it and it peels right off.

    BTW, when I spoke to the people at HomeDepot they told me that there is no chemical that would remove deck over and not to waste my time and effort on this. I also spoke to Behr and they confirmed that chemicals will NOT work. I have been working on my deck for two weeks now and it has been a scaping and sanding process. It has been hard work but finally using a scraper, angle grinder and 36 grit sandpaper I am able to see good progress. I will seal and stain the deck afterwards but will NOT use any Behr products now or in the future. If I knew now when I first installed the deck it would have been composite and I could be sitting with a beer enjoying the deck right now

    Hello sir: I have used the Behr product for many years as Its only $18/gallon at any Home Depot compared to other products costing $48. Fast results after 20 minutes. I sincerely hope that your results were in jest as I could have your entire deck stripped in 6 hours instead of weeks using BEHR saving you $1300. I noticed that you didn't put the cap back on the jug expecting you to trip over it causing the disaster. Keep On STRIPPING !!!!!!!!!!! Bro

    So when you paid someone, did they not have success with the sander? Did they switch to the diamabrush?
    I got most of mine off with a scraper but I have probably 5 boards (12 feet long) left to do that it’s REALLY stuck on there. To rent the sander it’s 50$+13$ per sand sheet, or I can try and find a diamabrush here in Ontario somewhere unless the drum sander can do that much.

    • @markseubert3317
      @markseubert3317  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The diamabrush did a much better and faster job. They did mot have success with the sander.
