Another way is to go to Anneburg..get bounty and head up a hill a ways...this tightens up the area when you start fighting...shoot every rider but the one riding a piebald...run to him and throw him off his horse..that simple..great vid btw
This is a great method in getting this horse, with no loss of honor. There is a break in the ridge where a narrow gully leads up into Blackwater. You can stay at the bottom of this gully and let them come to you, picking them off one at a time.
Tried this just recently for the first time and it not only worked great, but was so much fun! I did it before starting any story missions so had it very early. Love your videos!

You can also ride into the town of Blackwater. Just to the left of the first building is a kind of beach where you can wait until the policemen arrive on horseback and I was amazed because 2-3 of these rare horses were being used by the policemen lol³ Pinkertons don't come when you're standing at the spot
Check big vally it spowns there as well in be tween hanging dog and Watsons cabin in the open thats where i got mine chapter 2 there are 4 different breads that spawn there 👍

Absolutely LOVE this horse. Took me awhile to get it in chapter 2, but finally did. Now, I will not have another horse. This horse has NEVER bucked me and has stood face to face with a grizzly (the grizzly was actually swatting at the horse), but he didn't budge. He isn't the fastest one, but he's the best one.
I think there is a guaranteed way to get this horse, I was eyeing on this horse and tried like the videos in yt but no luck. But at the end of chapter 2 when Cornwell comes for Dutch in valentine his aid have this horse but he leaves in the cut scene no chance there. During chapter 3 molly's mission where uncle interrupt and we go rob a wagon with uncle, Charles and bill, there when we hide at a barn, there will be a big fight at night, there is an enemy with this horse when you kill him it runs off, and I ran after that horse and mounted it and started feeding it in the middle of the fight and somehow I finished the mission without dying and after the cut scene this horse was showing in the map as my temporary horse...lucky me... mounted it and ran to the stable. I think there may be a better way to get it if someone tried with trial and error basis and make a video on how to get the piebald tobiano for sure in chapter 3. I got the horse first time, despite some farcical scenes of Arthur running after it on foot, being chased by about 15 lawmen/Pinkertons, before catching it after we swam to a small island north of Blackwater. It was worth the $300 bounty (although I got $229 back from my fully bonded Arabian I sold to make room in the stable). Thanks for the tip.
I killed hundreds without seeing a Sooty Buckskin Dutch Warmblood. Not that it's easy to tell under constant attack and when all their horses are filthy
Don't think so. I found out that the stable horses like the sooty buckskin will not be one of their horses. By "stable horses", I mean a horse can be unlocked in the game regardless of the chapters. For the pinkertons and lawmen in Blackwater, their horses are like almost all the wild horses
What is so special about this horse Piebald Tobiano? Is it particularly fast or courageous? Or is it the horse's coat that you like best of all the horses?

That's why I get high health bar and dead-eye bar. Then I use it on health tonics and snake oil so I can survive the gun fight longer.

You can also climb a horse rail or a fence or even a rock immediately after consuming an item and it remains in your inventory. No long rifle required.
I think so but never tried. You can try it and it is possible since you get the horse from Blackwater lawmen rather than pinkertons. All you have to do is to cause trouble in Blackwater town I guess

Only for its look. This being my favorite just for its appearance. In the end, the attributes are not as important as your preference on the appearance. Another horse I like is a Kentucky Saddler. So many so-called "average horses" I like.
The downside of this method for me is that the horse is always stallion!! I prefer mare!!! So I keep a lookout for campers around the map!! And you can get your hands on a mare!!!

Yup.. Usually ends up costing between 300 - 350 in bounty. Worth it imo.

can get a Sooty Buckskin DW from Bounty hunters if your bounty is high enough, like around &150

Turkoman is overrated. Beautiful horse. Fast and has SOME bravery. I rather have a horse with balls of steel. Dont need to be the fastest for me.
