- Norman Lloyd is reputed to be the oldest working actor in Hollywood. Over his career, he's worked with everyone from Charlie Chaplin and Orson Welles, to Denzel Washington and Amy Schumer. Earlier this month, Lloyd celebrated his 102nd birthday. Anthony Mason spoke with Lloyd about his extraordinary career.
Holy shit he looks pretty good for being 102, I hope I'm doing that well at that age, shit I just hope I make it to that age.
He died now
I just can’t believe how healthy and coherent he is in this video. I saw Saboteur a few years ago and assumed he, along with the rest of the cast, would be dead. What an outstanding dude!
Saboteur was the film I remember seeing Mr. Lloyd in, on TCM back in the '90s. Great film. It's awesome seeing him, still lucid and with a wry sense of humor. I hope he forges on and remains active, for as long as he wants! 👏👍

Just the fact that I used to watch "Saboteur" annually back in the '70s when the film was THEN almost forty years old, and now almost fifty years since, he's still above ground is FANTASTIC!!!
Ever heard of GOOGLE?
Actually I was SO young when I watched Saboteur(1942), which was a great film. That drop from the... (ok, spoling).. was so well made.. So good film making.. And really memorable.. AND of course Dead Poet's Society (we always remember the "bad" guys..").
Happy 104th birthday, Norman Lloyd!
And he's still altogether upstairs too!
They should put him and Betty White in a movie. I would DEFINITELY watch!

So sad RIP. I hate finding out about talented actors / actresses when they die and never knowing about them
That’s the story of my life :(
Reporter : "You made the journal of longevity!"
Norman: "A few years ago!!"

And today Norman Lloyd turned 104!!!! Years old. Happy birthday to a legend!
Now he's 105 🤗
Now 106. Do I hear a bid for 107? :)
@@dennman6 sadly not
Damn he could pass as a 70 year old
Yes, he does. He turns 104 next month.
He is 30 years older than a 70 year old, that is insane.
@@craigsmith157 he's currently 106
Love that old-fashioned accent!
Wow, he looks so healthy.
The Transatlantic accent lives on in people like this.
He passed away a week ago. Rest in Peace Sir :')

Quite an inspiration.
Love his sassyness. What a legend!
Incredibly lucid with a puckish sense of humor.
it was 4 years ago. And this dude is still alive. Amazing
I just discovered this seeing him in a video reuniting the cast of St. Elsewhere a few years ago......I couldn't believe he was still living at 106! Oldest living actor or actress.
Frank Fry lives!!!
"How do you know my name?"
Such a crisp Transatlantic accent!
He worked with Charlie Chaplin and is still alive. Wow! God bless him!
He's 106 now! AMAZING!
Came here from dead poets society!
RIP
A richness that money couldn't start to buy.
He's 104 now
from charlie chaplin to amie schumer. this is america yuh uh dont catch you slippin up
And was good friends with the great John Garfield...and starred in Garfields last movie He Ran All The Way!
Why can't you be more like Lloyd Braun?
i think mr lloyd stopped aging during the 80s when he was on st elsewhere and only started aging again after his 105th bday
im sure that all the regs due to covid aged him even more
when he said he couldnt remember back 36 years, it wasnt exactly true
one of the things that made him such a great actor was his memory
106 and counting!
Fry
why does he have a British accent?
Kirk it’s the transatlantic accent from the 40s
@@MrName-fo2td
Back in our teens I worked a summer in the late 70's with a guy from a wealthy San Marino Ca. family that had it too.
@@kidmack1121 yeah the accent kinda perpetuated for a while but it’s most recognizable from the 40s
@@MrName-fo2td
Yes, I don't think I ever heard it after that.
That, being 1979.
@@kidmack1121 It’s definitely been fading out of use since after WW2, but the fact you even heard it in the late ‘70s is pretty impressive in itself
:) QC
I was such a fan of St. Elsewhere. It's curious that he says "we know that someday we're gonna die", and next to him there are precisely two of the characters that die during the series.
