OMG you're so brave! You didn't apply very much. Not sure if that light over a coat will help but like you said... peace of mind. I used Apple Guard of my LV vachetta on my Speedy 20. Worked fantastic!
I've recently started using Havre de Luxe on all my bags with great results. I was skeptical for years and was just as scared as you of discoloration when using the product, but it's turned out fine for all my bags :). I spray it on the cloth that they also sell to apply, so there's more control over the surface area you're applying to for even coverage. Although I'll still refrain from using the bags when there's rain, I really got it to help prevent color transfer from denim and I think it's been working out!
Thats great to hear!! I actually bought the Harve de Luxe spray kit for my mom, she hasnt used it yet but thats great to know you've had a good experience with them!
I have used the Apple Brand spray on both light-colored lambskin and suede bags, and it worked great, I spilt coffee on the white bag after waterproofing it and the coffee just roll down and didn’t even leave a mark.
@@carolcarito6730 on average maybe once a year? I use a leather cleaner to wipe a bag clean before putting it away, and when I’m ready to use the bag again the next season I would redo the waterproof spray
I did the same ( carbon pro) to my C19 caramel bag and the card holder and both came out great! I did it twice on them and a lot more than you here 😅I did not do water tried out 😂😅 but I have used my bag a lot with black and no color transfer, thank god!
I have the product and I’m too chicken to try it. I bought it like 3 months ago, and it’s just sitting there. Don’t have the guts to spray my bag 💼 thanks for doing this, I shall try it
When I took my Chanel 19 to the 57th Street boutique in NYC (for repair), they told me not to spray anything on the bag. But I did buy this product before my visit. Have you heard this? What are your thoughts? P.S. Love all your bags.
I have heard mixed opinions! I lot of people say not to spray your bags but also I've heard from the people who have, their bags have been fine so I think its just your preference

Was the hardware supposed to be protected?

I didnt cover it but i dont see that the hardware changed at all
I’ve used this on my CF, and other bags but I do cover the hardware
I didn't even think about covering the hardware but mine still looks fine!

Always test it out first!! I think the strap is a great testing spot. I was super scared until I tried the tester and it made me feel a lot better

Yes it feels exactly the same! Still buttery soft you cant even tell that theres anything on it

Im not sure about nylon but it does say you can spray on all sorts of materials. I would definitely try a test spot first!
I am so afraid it would ruin the hardware and the chain and the rest of the hardware would discolour!!
I didn't have a problem and it still looks good so i'm not sure!
