I believe that we just have too learn and understand our LOCS as we live with them. I've been loc almost 25 yrs and still learning. As they change you change. But all is well when you cleanse, love and be grateful to the Most High for the beautiful hair texture he gave you. Your LOCS are your Locs no two head of LOCS will ever be the same. Blessings
Cy Jee awww thank you so much for the love. I truly appreciate it. What size locs are you going for and how are you starting them? I would love to see your journey
awww thank you so much jasmine, thank you so much for watching, i remember the feeling I had when I started mine, I was super excited to embark on the journey and its been amazing. how did you start yours and how did you decide your loc size
Hair texture and what we want is the thing I think, and I didn't know if I wanted small or large partings because I have med. density and fine strands I found that when the loctician did smaller 2sts it was better for me but I didn't know what to do with them as they began to grow, whether to twist or interlock so I did interlock 3x and at 4mths I stopped everything, did not like the interlocking, it squeezed my tiny twists even smaller and it costed 85. every time. It's now been 14 mths and I have been freeforming and I absolutely love it now. I wash rinse and go, no oil, no conditioner, so I am just going with the flow and if I need something I will add but for now it's great. I'm so glad you made this video, you and your locs are gorgeous! Oh, I started with 230 locs and I have combined about 5 or 6 of them and the freeforming is working for me now. God bless!
You are so right, there really isnt enough information provided by loctians to help a novice start their journey. Its such a shame really but at the same time its a blessing because it forces us to get to know our hair. Interlocking does make them smaller which is definitely not what i wanted either. Thank you so much for stopping by here, I have just been to your channel, was hoping i would see your gorgeous locs, would really love to see your journey
I'm so happy you made an update video. you're the only one I could find online that has a similar loc size to mine. they look amazing. please share more updates
I’m so glad you did this video. Sorry to say the communication, empathy and customer care is sorely lacking in the loc industry. Locticians unfortunately don’t realise the need to explain carefully and walk potential customers through the options available based on budget and hair type. I learned very critical information too many dollars and too many weeks too late. Kris McDred’s videos are extremely helpful in understanding all the issues involved. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Cheers!
Came across your video and found your advice useful with tips although I started with my locs 5 years ago. I have subscribed :). Btw your locs are gorgeous
Great video! I started off with about 220 locs, It's definitely has been a faith journey and revealing as well. Now I'm just letting them be free and marry at will. I'm definitely going to keep up with your journey✨just subbed
Hi thanks for this video, it's really helpful. I'm considering getting my hair locked also. I live in the U.K. but most videos are from US so I'm struggling for local info.
beautiful locs...i just restarted my locs after having grown my old set for over 7 years...wasnt much info at all when i started the first set buildup was my worst enemy and it had just become too too long.
Joyleen Makiwa im about to start my 2nd journey as well. you should try ACV rince with honey added in spray bottle with warm water and then scrub you locs with baking soda with that, then wash your hair as you normally would. this helps with build-up. you can do that every 2-3 months. it worked wonders for me. i had locs for over 6 years the first time.
hey it will be year for me memorial day mine look like yours and one thing i don't like the shrinkage i started braidlocs i just wash n go i just don't worry about it no more just glad net year it will be on my shoulders wine is getting to me nhow very little light you look great anyways just let your locs do what it want reallty this wine is telling me to sleep soerry with mny words i just had to respond
oh lovely, which method do you use to retwist your braid locs, interlocking or palm rolling? Shrinkage is part of the process hey, just have to go with the flow
Hi hun, so sorry for the late reply, had surgery hence the silence, catching up with replies now. There's no particular sizing, you just have to show them hun

We are British and we don't spell locks as in dreadlocks as 'locs'! Be yourself as a British TH-camr and stop pandering or mis-spelling UK English in preference of American English. Locks in dreadlocks comes from the word 'lock' as in lock of hair. We appreciate American TH-camrs and all that makes them American, as they appreciate us from the UK and our culture, language and quirks! That is what makes everyone unique, different & interesting. Rather than change our language just write 'dreadlocks' in full. #Internationallanguage #TH-camFollowers
