I remember always on my father if i hear concerts for oboe..if he stayd on the platform with his orchestra and played. I was soo proud of him to see him as a solomusician with his instrument oboe
How mutable is the world ! Vicissitudes are the lot of man However , Haydn's works will surpass and transcend time , race , nation and space There is something extraordinary in this orchestra's performance From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵
Wonderful interpretation of this concerto, where the spirit of Haydn sometimes announces that of Mozart operas! Have you noticed the young woman playing the oboe with a red flower in her hair? She is involved with a lot of heart in the performance of her part and carries an admiring attention to the solo part. Does anyone know her name?
Unlike some others who have recorded this, Mr. Leleux tends to play more WITH the orchestra instead of on top of it. Almost playful at times. I believe this was Haydn's intention. (Same for the trumpet concerto, for that matter.) Just delightful. It's too bad folks during Haydn's period never had the chance to hear their music on instruments with today's quality (especially the brass). This performance might be pretty close to how Haydn heard it in his head, however.
Just sensational..I love the Haydn Concerto but all too often you hear it played so stiffly until suddenly Francois Leleux works his mastery and magic. He does rather stretch the boundaries given the period of the piece but he makes it so much more interesting and exciting to listen to..One burning question, we have the 1st and 2nd Movements but where is the 3rd...?
Stupidly fantastic! Leleux is so incredibly talented. He will be 1st chair in l'Orchestre Divine des Cieux...take that Mr Prokofiev. You can find another instrument to represent your duck - this oboe is better suited for a bird of paradise.
The more I hear european oboists the more I appreciate the American school of oboe playing, curiously enough started by the French oboist Marcel Tabuteau with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
This work is not by Haydn. I remember it first being presented as a trumpet concerto. No matter the composer it’s a fine piece delightfully interpreted here.
@@TC..... The work IS not by Haydn. That’s what the scholars say. If you have evidence of Haydn’s authorship, other than your drunken rants, the world would love to see it
Good orchestra, but as written before the oboists communicating with the public has nothing to do in a oncerthall. And his way of playing Hayden is terrible!
I love the way he communicates with the audience! So charming and delightful the way he brings this underrated Haydn concerto to life!
I would have had so much anxiety conducting with an oboe. I'd constantly think about my reed breaking lmao
Oh! Noooooo
Literally why bassoonists don't conduct their own concertos lol
I concur.
So true lol😂
❤❤❤❤❤musique céleste merci monsieur leleux merci à l'orchestre 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤

WOW!!!!! Francois is such an amazingly talented oboist and conductor
And very fortunate oboist. Even with some articulations that I don't like for this concert
Thanks to the Norwegian musicians. The audience loves you!
Therapeutic-sounding oboe. So relaxing and melancholic.

Suena maravilloso👏🎶
The first oboe in the orchestra looked very jealous, nice record
Jealous but sultry. Those eyes.

She more than others can appreciate his mastery. Tone, pitch and endless breath for amazingly long, beautiful phrases.
Seriously. Right around 6:05😂

I was wondering the same thing! She is very attentive and does show a lot of enthusiasm for the piece.
I think she is confused because this is not the way Hayden wrote it. He is doing his own take on it....

Which form best describes the 1st movement of Haydn's oboe concerto in C major? Asking for a friend
I used to play this piece in saxophone, this is so amazing

Beautiful tempo this movement.. The Rondò is too fast. In fact there is No proportion.

Not by Haydn.
Hi Michael Lorenz : if not by Haydn, then by whom, please ?
@@danielalain9808 It'sb y an anonymous composer. For details see the complete edition of Haydn's works.
The most famous theory is that Stamitz wrote it with Haydn and Haydn publicaded it on his own name

Famous or not, this is of course apocryphal nonsense.
His vibrato is pretty bad
What about articulations?. Be famous and do what you want
