You seem like the type of man who would learn fencing to avenge his fathers death, be best friends with a wandering bard, support princesses in their journey to save themselves, ask if the dragon is okay instead of killing it, before realizing revenge isn’t the answer and joining his kingdom’s military as a guard to make use of his valuable skills and experience.
All that to say, you have a very medieval but friendly and magical adventurer gentleman vibe that comes out periodically throughout your videos and it’s honestly amazing

The relaxed, yet clinical, nature is super tingly. I usually prefer female voices in ASMR, but yours is very calming, especially with your accent.

Very calming. Beautiful background. Great tingles. I also noticed a few things that startled me but, didn’t stop me from watching the video 2 more times. The small light bouncing near the floor on your left side every few minutes and the ghost like white shadow passing in the background on your right shoulder. They gave me a rush. 😯 But I still fell asleep...only sweet dreams, only sweet dreams....☺️😴
Hahah the man in the window was a bit annoying but whenever I captured the footage somebody kept walking past so I figured he was gonna have to stay 😂
Also I wouldn’t worry about the floating stuff I’m pretty sure that’s just floating dust particles being picked up by the light, it’s set Victorian era so most of the roads/air outside was basically dust 😂

Believe it or not I actually was cutting a (not so cheap wig) I just had to do the take a few times so was cautious about really snipping into it in case my camera cut out again 😂 I’ll get in there more next time, glad you enjoyed it 🙏🙏🙏

Barber shop/ haircut role plays aren’t usually my thing, but you took a little bit different approach which intrigued me. Found it very relaxing. I fall asleep mostly through the play between visual and audio triggers. So, your little expressions, the scrutiny of the hair and the head tilts paired with your calm mumbly voice and the scissors sounds were perfect. 🌛

No outside help though, besides my friend Lorna who animates some background scenes for me but a lot of them come from games with some custom elements.
I love the technical side though, like I think most people get into asmr because they feel the pull wanting to relax people and then they learn about production because it’s necessary. I was the opposite, I felt the pull of being able to create from scratch my own mini worlds and concepts and ASMR seemed the natural vehicle for me to do it through, as it’s something I’ve followed for 8-9 years 🙏🙏🙏
This is about my 7th time watching this vid. To be new at ASMR you’ve done better than many channels, feels authentic! Also love the subtle flirting/compliments, really comforting! 10/10!

One idea 💡 for a video 📹I haven't seen done by anyone, in case you're interested in this, is for you to do a roleplay of someone helping someone at the grocery store, perhaps a cashier ringing up the groceries or a personal shopping assistant, or something along those lines.
I met my second-to-last boyfriend, when I was the cashier, in a grocery store, and he was a regular customer who would frequently come to my line (or "queue," as English folks call what we, in America 🇺🇸, call a "line") to check out. ☺ Some other people might like a video of a store clerk helping someone with checking out or selecting items to purchase.
I have seen people (you and other ASMRtists) do loads of other customer service roleplays. I have seen the doctors 👨⚕️👩⚕️ [and other healthcare professionals], and teachers 👨🏫👩🏫, and the tailors, and the clothing store associates, and the librarians, and the barbers/hairdressers, and the make-up artists, and the color analysts, and the reiki healers, the flight attendants, the travel agents, and I think, once [each], even a video store clerk (any really young people who read this comment might think to themselves: 'What's a video store?' 🤭) and a florist, but I have never seen a [food] market clerk video, to my recollection. 🤔
Another idea 💡 would be a guide at the zoo, who teaches people about the animals. (You could use stuffed animals, rather than real ones, if it's not too expensive for you to buy a variety of them.) Another video 📹💡idea would be for you to be a photographer 📸, taking pictures of a model, for a photoshoot. Also, a camera store salesman/clerk might be a nice video, although that is not an original one. I have seen one or two other ASMRTists use that concept.

You already have the requisite handsomeness (one might say you have the looks to die for 😉) [and, I think, your black hair and blue eyes are ideal for this role] and charm down pat. You'd just need the costume, props, and good, dark, spooky background. Oh, that idea 💡 is my favorite one, of all the ones I've just mentioned. I would *love* to see that so much!!!

Thank you James, for such a relaxing vid. Such an interesting Victoriana take on the traditional haircutting role play. Love the backdrop behind with the glowing lamps and black and white tiled floor. Also the figure that passes by the window every now and again. It’s like your barber shop is around the corner from The Ten Bells Pub, Spitalfields, London and Jack the Ripper is outside waiting in the shadows. So atmospheric! ❤️

I love these role-plays with the green screen backgrounds. I definitely need to get myself a green sheet, or green table cloth that I can rig when ever I want to film one of these. I think that is what holds me back from doing the role play it feels more real when you have that background theme to work with.
They’re an investment and definitely a skill you’ve gotta learn and take time to understand but well worth it for the artistic freedom it gives you :)

Well, I have seen people paint a wall green, but that is a bit too permanent. my brother and his friend went to the fabric store and found themselves some green fabric and with PVC pipes and elbow joints made there own green screen and it worked really well. I just need an easy up and easy takedown option :)
