Yo Asmon, I’m not sure if you’re going to see this, but as a French guy, I can tell you that we're dealing with similar issues here. What frustrates people the most is seeing news every week about individuals from "our culture" being killed or raped, and it feels like no one cares. Look at Spain, where a girl was raped and the rapist wasn’t sentenced because "it’s normal in his culture." In France, we had white guys getting sentenced just for putting up right-wing posters, while at the same time, we’ve seen incidents like immigrants coming into a village and stabbing people (just look at the murder of Thomas). There’s also the case of a young man stabbing his "friend," with his mother slapping the dying child (check out the Mathis case), and yet nothing gets done.
What really gets to people is that whenever someone does something against the migrant community, they retaliate by burning down the whole country (look Nael emeutes) and brutalizing people, and still, the higher ups don’t seem to care. So, people have started taking matters into their own hands. As someone who’s seeing the same things, I totally get where they’re coming from and why they are doing it.

I dunno man... i consider myself to be as far left as it gets... but i dont want 'open borders' ... and as a brit, ive never heard the media term things as you suggest.
Of course i want people, like my own ancestors, to come here legally... but i think if you were to be honest, you would see that the discussion we're having, isnt something so mundane.
This latest round of tensions, started after this crazy murder spree this british kid went on.
You know that all the tension and anger directed at muslims and brown people, apparently somewhat like myself... none of that has anything to do with how people are getting into the country (this criminals parents were legal migrants)... and y'know its just a strawman argument thats not honest at all.
Ive had my white gran ring me up and ask me if im in danger due to these protests... and i know im not. This video did more to make me feel things and create turmoil in me, than anything ive seen on the news or in person... i have no reason to believe a single person i know, regardless of race, is in any danger... asmon is wrong, this is all very limited in comparison to sensible people just working hard living their lives as i am...
But my gran was racist, my mum was kicked out of her home for the crime of bringing me into the world lol... but.. that was a long time ago, i dont hold that against my grandparents at all...
And the black side of my family, who've been here generations... they're lawyer's, probation officers... criminal investigators, psychiatrists... property developers etc etc... as well as blue collar losers like myself lol.
The only person in my family who doesn't work... shes a great mum, and really works hard to make others lives better in the family.. everyone else just works hard... nobody has time to protest.
Im just wasting my time i guess... but from what i can see... a bunch of angry yobs, many being violent and destructive, clearly angry and directing anger in misplaced ways... i think its fair to call those people far right.
I mean... they are literally being on the far right of the political spectrum. Going nuts rioting over misinformation and the small things that happen in life.
A nutter did some horrible nutty things.
That is nothing special in terms of being limited to a migrant background or race. Most of those kinds of crimes are committed by citizens and disturbed people lashing out for their own crazy reasons. Thats how life is.
And i am not a fan of how society is... but to blame entire swathes of the population for the actions of a single person... that is far right behaviour. Whether its a white far right dude, or someone exhibiting the same tendancies who happens to belong to a different race.
Im sure ill find other comments i want to rant at, but hopefully i gave you some food for thought. Have a great day. (Its saturday... im working, same as last night, and tomorrow... and every day... thats how it be to be poor and stupid, regardless of colour lol)

    • @reallybadazz
      @reallybadazz หลายเดือนก่อน

@Quasiguambo I appreciate the food for thought and the solid response, both thought provoking, well put, and very respectful. I live in america so I don't understand the full extent over there, and from what I understand a lot of the people coming in are refugees and I think there needs to be room in laws for refugees don't get me wrong.
I'm more on the right side of things, but I still have a few left sided views because some of these policies and attempts at making the world a better place really are a net positive such as kindness to refugees who are having their homes destroyed in the midst of a war.
The media I believe has polarized the sides to extremes. No news outlet in america like CNN or MSNBC for example would call protestors that took over college campuses and destroyed windows, set things on fire, and wanted jewish people to leave the campus "extremists" which makes me a little heated over here, but someone burning down an abortion clinic even despite Roe v. Wade being overturned in their favor and turned to state laws is an extremist for the right. And don't get me wrong I don't think FOX news would call them extremists either (FOX being right news and CNN being left news, don't know if you have the equivalent over in Britan)
I believe both of these are on the extremist side of things but the media does not portray such a thing (at least in america) but the media jumps the gun to call one far but the other one leaning.
As for immigration which you could say is out of the purview of this video since he was naturally born and would be fair, is a big talking point in america right now, my view is refugees NEED a way to seek asylum. War and genocides are a nasty thing and people need to have the opportunity for carrying on their family and deserve a spot out of conflict if that's what they would like to do.
However the immigration rate in america going from 400-500k precovid to 2.5 million last year from Mexico alone shows that people are not taking the documented path into america worries me because despite all the jokes about shootings and killings in america, Mexico has one of the biggest drug trades and mortality rates, and without having the right documentation coming into a country you can become a ghost.
So I guess a TL:DR: I live in america and it may be different over here, but I appreciate the perspective. We do have to live better than our ancestors, I believe refugees have a place in countries, finding where that fits is up to (in our case) the states, but mass immigration at least in America's case doesn't sit well with me.
The video was on Britan and once again the American made it about America haha, but I do appreciate the thought provoking conversation, respectfulness despite us living across the world with different views. It does give some good light from someone who has differing views and gives good perspective from one side of the coin. I hope you have a great day as well!

The US was founded on ANYONE coming here, to work hard and live peacefully and you can be an American. You don’t have to born on our soil or even grow up here to be an American. You don’t have to completely abandon your culture to adopt American culture. You only have to live and let live, be productive, stand up for freedom.
If *you* were to come to the US or the UK, with your work ethic, they would gladly have you. I say this as a right leaning person. The right doesn’t hate people different than them, they don’t like people who do absolutely nothing to assimilate, who try to retain and spread their morals that fundamentally contradict American/English values.

But they refuse to learn and speak our country's language, they don't fit in, they don't try to understand our culture, our way of life. People who don’t live in the UK, France, or similar countries often don’t fully understand the situation with the Muslim community. It’s not about hating Muslims or being racist; it’s about the willingness to assimilate into the country. When someone decides that their religious laws take precedence over the country’s laws and that religious beliefs always prevail, it creates incompatibility. The reason tensions are escalating now, and will likely worsen, is due to numbers. When the population is under 5%, it’s somewhat absorbed, but at 10-20% and keep growing then it leads to a clash of civilization.

Asmon misses one big thing here. It’s not just about British people noticing that a demographic change has occurred and continues to occur but the powers that be treat the indigenous population somewhat differently from the ethnic minority groups in that they get a status of “protected characteristics” which leads to better and preferential treatment compared to the white British majority. This leads to the “two tier” approach when the British majority does something compared to the ethnic minority. Immigrants get housing and other benefits when they have paid no taxes toward the cost of their properties or stays in 4 star hotels until the government can process them. This causes anger, resentment and feeling like 2nd class citizens in your own country.

Legal immigration is a good thing, there should always be a process for people to go live in a different country that is a legal process so the new country can see their background and see they are okay and prepared for the move. That immigration is 100% okay and I will fight that battle all day long. Illegal immigration is wrong because it creates issues like seen here because we don't know who is coming into the country. We don't know who has a criminal background and who doesn't. That makes a safety problem. America has never had issues with legal immigrants and a portion of them appreciate America much more than some of its own citizens.

I think you're taking things out of context. A person can be part of multiple groups/cultures at the same time. What he is doing is he is specifically identifying this way so that someone on the outside will easily be able to understand the situation and the surrounding hypocrisy and prejudice from those on the opposite side (the rioters). I'll explain a little based on my understanding, people immediately jumped to the conclusion that he (the stabber) was a Muslim immigrant when the news didn't say his nationality or show his face right away. It takes time to do an investigation and figure things out but people just ran with the conclusion they jumped to and that is what started the riots. But like they said at 2:14, it turned out to be a Christian man who was born in Wales that committed the crime. It's not exactly a 1 to 1 but the point he was making is that Muslims immigrants aren't behaving in a way similar to the rioters because of injustices happening in their home community/countries whereas the UK rioters started on a false justification and are still continuing to riot even after the real truth has come out of him being a British born Christian.
