Was beautiful, not anymore, the influx of transplants and undocumented migrants have changed it into a hell scape, turning it into exactly where they all came from
@Hemingroo awesome interview! I really miss the old stories. I'm kind of wondering if I'm related to you. I'm 53 years old and from naples. My grandfather Harold Daniels built fishing boats where Tin City is in Naples in the 50s and 60s, and I think before that, they were in Fort Myers doing it. I imagine they all intertwine somewhere. Haha Anyway, thank you for your time.
@@commonsense3505 very could be related to Kent u never know old Florida is hard to find there still a few places people and adventure thank u for ur comment Roo

@@just_observing1Texas has several accents. Most of them are still going strong. The central Texas German/texan accent is dying out. It’s dying because of the influx of people from out of state over the last 30 years. I’m from west Texas. We have a mix of Texan and a high plains accent.

Ol port Salerno is gentrified and full of Yankee tourist now a days! That was another notorious port of entry back in the day! As a born and raised New Englander here. I had a good interactions with a few native citizens in the Panhandle area while traveling there. I could sit there and chat with them like they were old friends. Good stories spoken are better then reading them. Thanks for this interview with “ The Outlaw” for a minute I though he was talking about another friend of mine. lol 😂
I walked onto a banana boat from Columbia anxhored five miles from Homeport Marina Palm Harbor on Gulf coast north or Dunedin Fl. in 1978. This boat was loaded with 15,000 pounds of Columbian gold grass. Back then the price on streets for Columbian Gold was $90 per 1/4 pound. Period. And ive seen Coast Guard bust boats out picking up from big boats....the men would toss overboard bales that would wash up on shores. We would be out just before sunrise picking up bales....we called it "Seaweed"... Salty dog taste! That was along Sunset beach to up past Tarpon Springs. Ole man would have bales and bales for free! Gone are the good ole days.....

Used to live in Marathon,Florida back in the 90s and knew a few people that were getting out of prison after 10-20 years from runnin dope in boats. In the 90s they was smuggling people in.
Everyone saying this is a Florida accent needs to move around. I can take you to almost any 100 person, off the map, small southern town and find plenty of old southerners who talk like this. Some my family.
Being born and breed in Florida is a blessing swimming to try and sneak up on gators to hearing stories from all the old heads doing stuff like what's in the video or running moonshine to the mob stories because they liked using locals to do alot of there work
