I go to Vegas about once a month. I have stayed in most of the hotels on the strip at one point or another. I prefer the Palms because it has the best view of the strip of any property if you can get a room on a high floor.
You are correct it is more of a locals casino, which also means better gaming odds than the casinos on the strip.
The strip can get kind of crazy with all the tourists and activity. When you stay at Palms, it is an easy Uber ride to the strip and when you’re done, you can come back and chill and you’re not immersed at all the craziness and a sea of people when you walk outside.

First off… we are very jealous that you go to Vegas once a month! We wish we lived close enough to go more often 🥹😆 Palms is such a nice hotel and we agree - if you know it’s that little bit off strip when you book it, you won’t be disappointed. We can definitely see the appeal for anyone who doesn’t mind getting a quick cab in and out of the strip rather than being on top of it! Are there any other hotels you would recommend?
