Beautiful backyard! The creek is spectacular. I wouldn’t want to plant anything too tall in the fire pit area that could block the view of the waterfall, just low growing things that give some colour. Thank-you for the tour!
So relaxing to watch your garden tours 😊 Gardening is a lot of trial and error just to see what grows happily and what doesn’t. Every garden is different and I’m learning to maximise what thrives in each area - makes my life simpler and I can enjoy the garden so much more. Sometimes though there is just no predicting what will thrive, even within the same bed! I suppose that’s all part of the enjoyment 🥰.
This is my first time viewing your video. It is so refreshing to hear you talk about your garden and some of the challenges you have with certain locations. We all have the same problem. I had to laugh when you said "your nonstop begonia has halted." Stunning garden.
I am obsessed with anything natural stone. With that being said , I love all of your boulder walls throughout your yard. Beautiful property you have developed.
I have just discovered your channel. I am enjoying it so much. I would love to see what your yard looked like when you first bought the house. I noticed you have beautiful hands then discovered your other channel. I LOVE your graphics for both your channels. I love your enthusiasm and love comments on what doesn’t work or plants you don’t love. I agree day lilies are going, also love gomphrena, begonias can be teasers. LOVE the wire diamond trellis you created. I also live on a creek in Ohio. Great job!!!
I am planning on making a video of that this Winter. So that's coming fairly soon! Thank you so much for all your nice comments, you are so sweet! I used to live in Ohio! Glad you are able to enjoy a creek as well!
Tiny Monster Geranium would look fantastic in your fireplace bed. I have a rock wall similar to yours and my perennial geranium bloom literally all summer long and cascade down my rocks. I absolutely love it!
Oh thank you for the suggestion! I will definitely look it up because I haven’t heard of it. I would love to have something bloom all summer long there ❤
Love seeing the progress! All the David Austin’s that I have planted in shade have not performed that well, even when they say they can take part shade. I was watching @gardenerben and he was saying that sceptered Isle and Crown Princess Margarita do well in shade and then Dannahue, which we don’t have yet, can do deep shade.
Love your you front garden! The pink roses and blue lavender is gorgeous! Where can you get Knockout roses? I also really love your petunia on the wall with the Big Hydrangeas there very pretty! 🤩😍
I just found your channel and love your garden and property. What a beautiful creek with all the different levels in your yard. What state/growing zone are you in? Thanks for sharing your garden 😍 wow wow wow
Your garden is stunning! It has great bones and structure, which is hard to achieve, so don't be too hard on yourself if a plant is in the wrong spot. Sometimes it's trial and error. It's something all gardeners struggle with at one time or another. It really boils down to a few things with plants: sun, soil, and water. I read a great book recently and it explained how to create a sun chart. Sun charts help gardeners gain a better understanding of the sun conditions in their garden by using a simple method of measuring the sun at certain times of the day. You can look up sun charts on the internet or read about it in a book which I borrowed from my library, Garden Design Bible by Tim Newbury. It's not difficult and the process is explained well. I especially found it helpful to quantify the sun conditions in my garden, which helps me select plants better suited to my sun conditions. Hope this helps!😊😊
Thank you I am definitely learning as I go. I still have more plants I want to move. Haha.Thank you I have researching Gardening books to read this winter!

Thank you! Yes, I just need to find some low growing evergreen plants. I need some winter interest for sure!

Yes, so true. That is part of what makes it so fun and it allows you to try different plants. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. ❤

Your garden and especially the creek is beautiful
Thank you we love the creek! ❤
Yes make sure to keep the vincas well watered when it’s super hot. They don’t like to dry out… lovely garden. 😊
I am still wondering if they were watered too much or too little. It's a very hot spot where they are.

That's good to know! I need to see if it does well next year and if not I will have to move them.
In my experience almost all roses prefer full sun.
Love your you front garden! The pink roses and blue lavender is gorgeous! Where can you get Knockout roses?

I have seen the knockout roses at Home Depot and Lowes.

Okay, just heard you say Utah 😅
Yepm Utah Zone 7b. Thank you!!
I subscribed even though I doubt you are a zone 8a like me here in Louisiana. Still beautiful to watch. Did y’all create that stream or is it natural?
Thank you for subscribing! I am in Zone 7B Northern Utah. It's a natural creek.

from thai land 🇹🇭❤
Oh welcome!! ❤
We planted so many of the same annual varieties! What do you spray for budworms?
I'm actually editing my video on that right now. Hope to have it up late tonight or tomorrow!
What planting zone are you? You haven’t mentioned in your video. Nice garden
7a 😀
What is your growing zone?
Northern Utah Zone 7b
My soil is bad too. How do I fix that without completely replacing the soil? add top soil, mix in manure, add nutrients……Anyone know?
Add compost! I have heard up to 6 inches of compost will help to improve your soil. Fall would be a great time to do that.
Poor derange and over watering kill vinca plants..
Yeah I was wondering if they got too much water.
@@polishedgarden I believe that’s the problem.
