By going down the murder hobo path and murder the moon cleric in act 2 as the dark urge you can pick up the slayer ability which basically is that form.
It upgrades your existing Slayer transformation. You get 50% more HP in your Slayer form (and possibly better stats all around) if you then become Bhaal's chosen.
@@JimIBobIJonesnah i think 50% is when you get level 10 and then you get a special spell if you complete volos quest and read his book about the slayer

I believe Bhaals initial plan was for the Bhaalspawn to grow stronger, murder each other, and rejoin their essence to remake Bhaals divinity. I don't remember any real references to bg2 in the story during my playthrough but I suppose we are to assume that the death of the bg1 protagonist is what ultimately allowed bhaal to return. It's also why Wylls father ascended to Marshall of the Flaming Fist.
He was restored during the 2nd sundering, but since ao was pissed about the dead 3 antics, he is basically a god but a mortal one (same for myrkul and bane)
It's unclear, but probably yes. In the lore, the last 2 remaining Bhaalspawn were Abdel Adrian/Gorion's Ward and Viekang (I assume Sarevok doesn't count here since he was killed and then resurrected). The two fought to the death in The Wide and though the winner of the fight is unclear, the survivor became the new incarnation of Bhaal.
afaik, He is not your PC. He is the Bhaal himself from the old times. WotC retcon the game's story and Gorion's Ward has choose to stay as mortal free from his father's influence, but that doesn't mean his essences are all gone it's still there and waiting for the awakening. after some time passed, Ward and Viekang had a fight to death and both got killed by each others hand. After their death, Bhaal's Essence has finally freed from their cold dead body and returned to his throne and Bhaal has returned.
No it’s not. Wizard of the Coast has made a canon male Gorion’s Ward named Abdel Adrian who refused to ascend and became Duke of Baldur’s Gate and there’s a campaign called Murder in Baldur’s Gate where both him and the last remaining Bhaalspawn die in a fight and out comes the Slayer and the presumed return of Bhaal. (Awful canon but I believe there is books and a shield you can get referencing them too in BG3)
If you follow him you experience what’s essentially divine ecstacy when you murder for him, so it makes sense that one already prone to violence would be drawn to that. All of the gods I imagine have followers who are already prone towards those ideals in the first place or are conditioned into them (like Orin who was born into the cult, or Shadowheart being indoctrinated into Shar worship).
The world of dnd is extremely violent. Dragons, monsters, demons, bandits, goblins... Violence and War is just a non-stop occurence in dnd. It just stand to reason that in such a violent environnement, some people are going to simply enjoy killing for the sake of killing. Assassins, bandits, soldier...you name it, there are tons of people who make money out of murder in dnd, and thereof have a good reason to worship a god that rewards you for being a killer
