It might help if the photo wasn't an alien with a skeletal system. Also this Galactic Council is kind of dumb if they don't understand basic concepts of physics and biology.

Not for nothing, we humans have already thought that if there is life elsewhere in the galaxy, it should be expected to evolve differently from Earth.

If so, I can picture a scenario where an aquatic lifeform resembling a Seahorse exclaims: "What!!?? The females of your species bear children?"
A birdlike alien enquires: "So, they grow inside the body & emerge as a smaller version of the adult, not hatch out of eggs?"
The human who is a doctor, answers, "Yes, normally 1 child is born to a human mother, 2 children can happen, sometimes 3 but it's very rare for more to occur."
Yet another alien exclaims, "UNBELIEVABLE! Why only 1? I hear that the birthing process is agonising, is this true?"
The human doctor answers, "Yes, but the pain is quickly forgotten once the baby is born. I myself tended to some births over the years & sometimes the births required surgical assistance."
A female council member shouts "YOU A MALE OF YOUR SPECIES! TENDING A BIRTH? WE DON'T ALLOW MALES NEAR A LABOURING FEMALE ON OUR PLANET! NOT EVEN THE BROOD SIRE MUST APPROACH HER!"
The Doctor answers, "We don't have claws & fangs like you Madam Councillor, we humans find that familliar presences during moments like birthing reduces stress & brings calm, even the brood sire's presence can be calming to his mate."
More talking ensues, clearly there is more that is unknown about the human anatomy, the Head Councillor brings this meeting to a close & strongly advises all present to further study all aspects of Human Physiology, not just reproduction.

Bones don't get stronger when they heal

    • @BagoPorkRinds
      @BagoPorkRinds 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

It actually does to a point. Martial artists who train in breaking techniques with their hands, kicking your shins at a tree in Muy Thai or any physically high stressed repeated impacts to the bone produces micro-fractures. Once given time to heal with treatment, these micro-fractures become denser and thus stronger.
Edit: *Breaking techniques on dense materials such as brick, concrete, and stone. Not wood planks.

The human is lucky that the tenatcled, exo-skeleton creatures had not yet optimized their physiology through evolution, selective breeding, and training to be able to do better than a human. Their environment mus tnot be that dmanding.
But how the heck did they get such a heavy boulder in the room if it was too heavy for them to lift?

I like your story's but to be honest I can't imagine this being possible in any reality. These aliens would have to be morons not to already know, with some sort of medical advantages, how Humans are structured. Lol. Look, you're confused. I don't know who told you this but it's not how it went down. I know. I was there.
First off, while it seemed like a political issue and about endoskeletons vs exoskeletons, it was as much or more about gambling. Galactics are bored and they love any wager that's interesting. Krelik knew about endoskeletons well enough, though they had initially come as a surprise.
The first competition was the combat and t was close, but the Krelik Warrior, was a was armored and had more arms to work with. Maverick put up a great fight, but he was outweighed, out armed and over matched. The crowd went wild, as did the betting. The council was ecstatic, thinking they won and it would be some tough political consequences for humans.
The obstacle course competition was the second competition, not the third and Mavrick didn't win.
The third challenge was weightlifting, taking turns lifting the weights, alternating who went first. Being a tie score up to then, neither competitor was going to give in, not even if it killed them. The weights kept being added. Both of them struggled on. Again it was Maverick's turn to start with a weight that almost broke the lifting bar, but he raised it to arms length above his head and dropped it. It was enough to dent the arena floor. The betting reached the price of planets. The Krelik warrior jerked it up to it's thorax, then over it's head and then... the shell of its arm snapped and the weight across its thorax and neck. It couldn't move. The crowd gasped and was silent. While the arena had been prepared properly for competition, the officials were not. The warrior was going to die. Everyone just stood there, everyone but Maverick who darted over and dead lifted the weight one more time to get it off his opponent. The medics were prepared with a floater, but it was Maverick that did most of the lifting of his opponent onto the floating gurney.
As he left, the crowd went wild. It was a story never to be forgotten because at the end Maverick had not just shown the strength of his body, but his moral strength as well.

Ok, first thing first, i kinda like many of your stories, however... for the love of god, stop just jumping into the middle of the story, start with spending a few minutes describing the universe your story takes place, followed by a few mins of intro into the current situation, then do the humanity announced invincible weapons/fleet/threat/etc.. Jumping into the middle without any description or lore feels like i missed something important. Why do we announce a fleet, why do the aliens do the things they do, even though you mention the reasons in passing it often just confuses me more. so, here is my constructive criticism. Please, follow the following structure: intro/worldbuilding-> action-> ending. And the thing is, a few of your stories actually follow this structure, but most of them do not.
