Another decent video Daniel. My dad had problems reading all of his life to the extent he could hardly write . Yet he trained to be a plasterer and was self employed for over 35 years. I bought a pink beach towel once. I'm color blind and it looked red but my wife at the time said it was pink. Ya know. Pink or blue it dried me off just as good as a yellow or green one would😁
That was a nice tent set up. The tarp comes in very handy during the rain..love the sound of rain on the tent! Nice camping meal too and cool hat! Take care ❤️ 🇨🇦
Great that you are addressing your disability - As a disabled man myself I understand. Although mine is a physical disability I know how hard it can be. Disability should be no restriction when taking part in any activity. I have never let it stop me.
Great to hear the sound of rain. Drier autumn than average here in South Australia as we approach our winter. Farmers are busy checking weather maps for signs of rain.
I like the hat. Looks like it stays on in the wind and doesn't fall off when you are looking down when your setting up, etc. Hoods are nice if it is really steady rain but this hat would probably fit under a hood and keep both the hood and hat snug, all protecting face, head & neck if steady rain with wind. (I obviously have problems keeping hats and hoods in place). Thumbs up to your entire video. Love your podcast. Thanks for sharing. 👍
My grandson is dyslexic so don’t let muppets dis you! Set up looked good, I watch Big Grizzly Outdoors and he has always been #leave no trace. Stay safe atb 👍🦊

Not a fan of the hat myself but if you like it mate that's all that matters... The tent is very similar to my old tango scafell, great tent.. Iv used the tarp over my tents before in rain for somewhere to sit its a good idea... Pink tent 😂😂 takes a real man to pull off a pink tent dan 😁😏😊😎😉 £2 a meal bloody bargain mate fair play.. Great vid dan
Awesome setup. Loved the hat, it took the shine off your head. I was out Friday. Strong winds and heavy rain in my phoxx2 and loved it. Thanks for the inspiration and stay safe.
Good video as always, I use a tarp with my tent because when I open the door in wet weather and the rain runs into the tent, however the tarp stops this and also gives me a dry place too cook in. The hat, well it looks ok on you, I have a waxed cotton one I always wear it anyhow I’m looking forward to seeing your next video.
Nice one - yeah the National Trust is well worth it just for the free parking! If you haven't already you might find some audio books on TH-cam of interest - free to listen to - and quite a lot of choice to while away a few hours in a tent..
Dan I have just got back from Northern Cyprus where I have done one or two videos. It is a beautiful country but local people dump rubbish everywhere on the nicest beeches. It is not something I have shown in what I have done. It just shows you why the 'Leave No Trace' is so important. I am sure the local populace will get there, but for now it is unbelievable what rubbish they leave. They literally have a BBQ and leave everything behind, very difficult to understand after the way many wild campers in the UK take LNT so seriously. Keep getting the message out there!
Just got back from Dartmoor higher willhayes proper wind and rain Msr elixir 1st time stood to elements really well my 3year old slept all night good video mate see soon mate keep up the good work my friend
That oex cook set looks sweet mate. The kettle looks like a similar design to my old school Trangia set. It looks like the camping manufacturers are going back to some of the older design ideas for campers equipment. I used that type of tent and tarp type set up for years before I discovered camping hammocks. I bet your set up is a fair bit lighter than the old canvas tent and tarp I had though. Nice little set up. Not sure about the color though. Totally agree with the leave no trace policy. There are some scruffy gits out there. Every time I visit my preferred lake I end up taking a bag of rubbish home. Most of that rubbish was left by other people. If you take home more than you take with you. You are part of the solution to the problem. If you step over it and leave it you are just ignoring the problem. If you leave your waste you are the problem.

The great thing about Tarps with Tents ,so many ways to give yourself room to sit out dry , and have somewhere dry to cook out too.
I was next time thinking about a bigger tarp
@@englishwoodsman 4 by 4 is a good size Tarp , you can do all kinds of setups with one that size .
Why are they called tarps when the correct name is a fly sheet

Love the hat and the tent, I like the tube style me and my wife have a marmot tent we gonna try this year hiking
