    Hahaha omfg this is great!!! As an Italian American this is sooo nostalgic. Covid had made it soo hard for the family to get together so I miss all this. The loudness, the constant food, the family it is so nice to see.

      Italian women are disloyal as well; the woman in the begining at 0:04 HUGGED him when she doesn't even hug her own husband. The Italian value of letting your wife be unfaithful with guys half her age while dismissing it as "motherly" is why Andrew Tate became so popular since he calls stuff like that out

    Thank you for showing a true representation of Italian/American families. Instead of showing the stereotype greasy haired mafioso type.
    I’m first generation Canadian and it’s very similar.
    PS: Love the portrait of Jesus with the palms in the background. I grew up with them scattered around the house.

    I miss being around an Italian-American family. Im not I-A, but i have dated someone who’s half Italian and I spend a lot of time with his Italian family. (I don’t miss the guy tho. He was not good for me.) Im miss the vibe, the energy, the food. I loved it. Not the kind of family you wanna be around if you have a headache, but a great lively family.

    12:13 I feel that. I never really had any deep connection with my extended family. It has always been just me, my sister, and my mom. Whenever I see huge families like this, I can't help but feel a little envious.

      When my mom started dating my dad, it was a big culture shock because of this. Her family rarely ever gets together, whereas my dad’s fam is always doing something 😂. My mom’s family is not close-knit like this, and is full of drunks.

      When you come from a large and passionate family you project not realizing that you're yelling but if you DON'T project your voice, you won't be heard, noticed, maybe even paid attention to cause there's always so much cross conversation and other stuff going on in the background.

    I think you should do a full series on living with poor Americans or Americans living in poverty. Not for a sob story but to expose ppl to more alternate realities. Esp since statistically poor or families in poverty work--more than others!

    It's so true about the son getting away with everything and the daughter is constantly being told they can't do something. So true within Italian American culture. it's very annoying.

      My mom is Scottish and English and my dad is Italian (primarily Neapolitan). It’s true. My dad doesn’t want me to move out, like ever. 😂 My mom always gets annoyed with him lol. I also have to ask to leave my house to take a walk around my neighborhood, even though I’m 20 years old. 🤣

    I loved how the lady mentioned that, in spite of her not having been to italy, Italy still has a place in her heart. I love how she video calls her grandmother and how the grandmother shares her experiences coming to the United States. When she said she didn't want to go but she had no choice, I cried.

    Great video ! I’m from Argentina and Always had my Nonna. Always trying to make me eat, no matter what. Because the “guerra” is coming and you can’t NEVER throw away food (she was exiliated in WW2). Always was about food and love. Besides continents apart we are very símilar.

    The Italian family is louder than the black family. I love how comfortable they are with being themselves. The Italian family have that strictness in common with black families when it comes to the girls verses the boys

    Very beautiful. I love their culture. Their family kind of reminds me of my family.
    My dad is Puerto Rican n was very strict with us as this family’s dad is. As I am now in my 50’s, I always remember my parents telling us about how much they needed to sacrifice. Blessings to this family n to u for trying others culture.

    Thing is, he comes in there believing the pizza isn’t nice. That’s why he says “low expectations” so of course he will harp on only the flaws…which is only the “It’s too oily”. Didn’t hear him say the dough is like cardboard etc. Regardless, if you eat a food believing it to be terrible, you will more likely to believe it to be terrible. I don’t trust Food reviews that has confirmation biases

    Well there's a reason they called him Fat Tony.
    I'm fourth generation Italian American, my Great Grandfather came from Turin and his family name was Novero.
    After a Huge Dinner, the men, and the boys would go into the den of my grandparent's house and we'd argue about whatever! My Dad was a little uneasy about it because his family is dead silent in general but he learned to tolerate it.

    It's said as a Hispanic that i could translate accurately to what the father was saying unlike his children. They translated the sane he said at the end like a chicano would translate to a non spanjsh speaking person from a native. Bland dry and lack of context.
