I watched one of your similar clips and got a lot out of it. This adds to the technique you delivered there. I did try after the first clip and thought the results were excellent. Many thanks for taking the time to put these together.
@@RichardBrockwell-hr1so I have tried your editing process, very happy with the results, it is something I will continue to do. As I had been doing previously, I like adding a solid colour mask, usually white. I would like to hear your opinion on this.
Hi Christine, I'm happy that you are happy with the results and great you will continue to use my editing process 😊 about adding a white mask? Can you explain to me about it? ☺️
Thank you Richard for sharing these very effective methods, it certainly improves the images that's for sure! Merry Christmas and I hope you have a fantastic 2025, Cheers from the UK.

I do that so you get more information from each colour after turning it to black and white. You can adjust each colour as you like 😊 thanks for the comment ☺️
Question: In the Detail panel, I understand why you would increase Sharpening a little, but why did you decrease Radius and increase Detail and Masking?
Hi Janice, A very good question. I'm sure you know that when sharpening is applied , you are enhancing the definition of the image making it more clearer and more detailed. By reducing the Radius which is the outline of edges and increasing the detail, you can push the sharpen slider much further without increasing noise, unnatural texture and even halos in the image. Hey thanks so much for watching the video ☺️

What is the reason for increasing saturation and vibrance before converting into black and white? Does it give more information to play with?
