Great attitude about the situation and great recovery! Your friend is also a stand up guy. He jumped right into fixing what he broke. If you lend out a car boat bike or whatever, you have to be ready to accept that it might get broken. I'd say everything was handled like adults should handle things, from all sides. Hopefully some of the less mature people viewing this will learn something, from both you and your friend.
Fixing the cage was an example of American ingenuity. Simple, effective. Great job.
Only bad thing about bending it back is it will just bend easier the next time you roll it. You can always cut that bar out and weld in a new one.

Nice work guys!!! Next time heat it with a torch. Will bend back earlier. That squeaking the suspension makes can be fixed with garage products bushings or by taking apart and greasing the hell out of them.
When you heat the metal you actually weaken it more than if you do it cold ether way it will be weaker in that spot just with heat it is weaker it can also get brittle not always but it can (no disrespect)
@@br1zzl395 I appreciate the feedback. Will it weaken a lot if you just use a propane torch to just heat it a little just to help it bend easier? I understand a oxygen Acetylene torch could probably heat it too much. Just figured a little heat couldn't hurt.

Well said about how you can’t get mad at your friends for crashing your machine. At the end of the day those machines are made for ripping like that and stuff like that will happen my friends have laid my dirtbike down and scratched it up multiple times but it isn’t their fault it’s just a part of the nature of the sport and you can’t get mad at them for it. I’m so excited for project 250r man it looks sweet

These cages are really thin I highly recommend getting aftermarket or a custom one built. You need to check for stress cracks if you haven’t already. $1400 on a cage is cheap compared to medical bills.

My buddy was on my yz250 and i had him have at it told him i wanted to see what it could do "he rides motocross" so 5th gear and it blew its cookies.. Ripped it apart and i knew it was going. Shit happens just cuz a buddy was on doesnt always mean it was there fault! Glad buddy was alright from that roll over.. Love the vids as always bro

I always said and have heard other people say when it comes to riding you hand over the keys to a friend or relative if they break it as long as noone gets hurt parts can be replaced or fixed its your friend or relative that can't be replaced. In the end great video man

I have a 2017 Can-Am Magic X3 Max Turbo R I have a belt temp gauge . I can run it hard the belt temp never
Gets above 168 degrees. The belt temperature gauge was put on at the dealer. Its the Razorback .
New cage if definitely worth the money because when you roll then don’t bend

Please look into a new cage. The stock cages are made out of super thin metal. He got lucky he didn’t hit harder on the cage then he did. Or it would have folded up. Google cage failures

Those are throw away cages man, one accident and they are done, get a new one. New they are like 800 to a grand off of rocky mountain atv or you can find take offs for a few hundred. Your life or the life of a future passenger is worth it.

Well bro he had cancer when he was about 10 years old and it effected his growth. He has extremely strong arms as a result though and is a damn good friend 🤘 We do call him "popeye arms" sometimes lol
I meant no offence about it. Just wondering i'm glad he beat cancer and all glad he recovered fully. I never seen popeye arms on anyone who beat cancer. And did cancer have something to do with that. Dude is probably a pullup stud.

Really enjoy these videos.. I've done a rebuild/restore on a kawasaki tarex and it's a lot of work for sure. Bought a new can am in 2019, starting to replace bearings, belts etc. that's how I stumbled on your channel. Great job and be safe - kind regards.
