Thank you! To me , the SE5A looks like a real Hot Rod of WW1. They look fast sitting still. I just bought one of the old Dynaflite kits, I believe it's 1/5 scale. And now we know that sweet landings ARE possible every now & then with these old birds. Really enjoyable pilot skills to watch & aspire to.
Lovely! The SE5A is a handsome bipe. This has commanding presence. That Zenoah sounds amazing! The engine sound really adds to the effect.. Thanks for this! 👍
Love this WWI bird. Looks like a very good engine to airframe combination. I have this same model on my build table now. Does the builder of this plane have any info on the landing gear mod and the hatch just behind the cockpit on the right side? I didn't realize this location had such greenery and foliage in early January.
These model airplanes might be useful as Bedcheck Charlie’s in order to drive the Russian ground forces to distraction in Ukraine. The beauty of them is that most air defense systems will not see them as a threat. The annoyance factor at night would be high.
Pete, the SE5a always looked like the box is came in but who can argue with a war winning design. Thank you for sharing. Jim
cheers jim, yep she sure gave the gerrys a good run for their money m8 !
