Weird but funny fact I suppose. The two elements that i find make up a liminal space even scarier are: grainy film quality and artificial light. The grainy film quality gives it a hint of being old and nostalgic which helps to cause a sort of deja vu. The 'artificial' light source or flash gives it that uncanny look represents life (even if it's behind the supposed camera) when there is none.
1:24 I remember a photo even though I am pretty sure I never experienced it. I was inside a hotel, where I was standing behind a window, inside of a hotel room, with carpet flooring and wood planks interior. Past the window was a polygonal (it was a lot more than 6 sides) field of grass, where another room, with the same window I had (disconnected, of course), was behind each side. I remember it being tall, I wasn't able to see the top of it in the image, but I am sure it wasn't infinite. For some reason, the outerior of every house was made of a red material, brick-like but very thin. While it doesn't have much to connect with the hotel at 1:24, the grass was plain and artificial like it, and it reminded me of this. Thank you for reading this 😄
6:45 I don't tend to care much for the domestic stuff but what a wild looking kitchen this is. It's almost like something from a bunker where the hope is to just give enough light and color and imagery of the outdoors to help stave off cabin fever. It's probably more pleasant if it's not in a bunker.
"if these walls could talk, think of the stories they would tell." well thank the stars above they can't, in a place like this i refuse to hear what they've been through all these decades. (yet again am i commenting random things on liminalities videos, they're just my thoughts on these vids, dont mind them :D)
Nice pictures. Theyre so comforting and peaceful in an odd way, i love liminal spaces.
Legit love liminal spaces because it feels unsettling but relaxing at the same time ❤️
