  • What can you power with the Anker 757 Solar Generator? With 100 watts of power, how fast will it charge? How much power do everyday appliances use? How long can use them on a Solar Generator?

    My son and I watched your video together. He absolutely loves this! He said this would be a great investment, and amazing to have if power outage, and when going camping. Thank you for sharing how this product works.

    I wasn’t ready for your review, never ever have I seen such a thorough and detailed review but kettle and microwave?

    Thank you for the info. The problem with gas generator is that you can not carry it in your vehicle such as a SUV. Unless you have a truck and carry it in your truck bed you can not safely carry it on an overlanding trip. I am currently testing my Anker solar panel (100W) with Anker Powerhosue 757 with another 200w solar panel, which will generate 300w (full capacity according to Anker manual). It looks like it takes approx. 9 hours to fully charge Powerhouse when it's 0% on a sunny day in Nevada. My goal is to keep the Powerhouse full at 100% during the day while I have to use it for two laptops with Starlink connected for 9 hours. We will see.

    Just got my 767 and getting 2-200W panels tomorrow. I got it primarily to power my refrigerator during outages after storms. (we've had 2 very recently and 4 storms total this summer). I think I'll have to have the extension battery and more panels and do some load management to keep the fridge going but I think it'll be fine.

    Are you sure the bag keeps it cool in the summer? It seems like the black bag would hold in heat and cut off the circulation

    Lots of information. Would be great for some of the power outages we get.. How long if it is dead does it take to charge it back up?

    • @FrugalFitDad
      @FrugalFitDad  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      When plugged in, less than 2 hours. When on 1 solar panel, probably 18-24 hours.

    Do they have a treadmill that recharges the battery when you run on it or a bike that is hooked up to a generator to recharge.

      You can chain 3 of those panels together, which they say is the optimal way of charging the powerhouse outdoors.

    • @FrugalFitDad

      Depends on what you are powering. Probably won’t last long if you have a few computers and printers.

      @@Justjackson7 without knowing the specifics, I would guess that one 100 W solar panel won’t be enough to sustain your energy needs. The battery pack alone will probably only last a few hours at best. The powerhouse 767 battery pack is probably a better solution. I’d probably pair that with two or three solar panels.

      I believe Anker's solar panels have an IPX rating of 6,5. They are not waterproof, but they can be exposed to rain.

    No use to tell us the panel is generating more than it is using. If it was that efficient you would tell us the figures.
