Mandrem Police warn shack operators not to assault locals or tourists

After the murder of a local Amar Bandkekar, at Arambol beach where he was assaulted by local staff, Mandrem police at a meeting of shackowners warned them to direct their workers not to indulge in violence. Just 15 days ago another such meeting was held. They have also been instructed not to put the chairs and beds beyond 15 metres and close their shacks by 11 pm.

The shacks allotted at the beach should have the carrying capacity of the beach , if the people don't have access to the beach then why would the government or the tourism industry allow these shacks in the first place. The commotion and the confusion created thereafter is the result of the current policies. There should always be checks and balances after the shacks are allotted in other words there should be total scrutiny of the project.

Why are the shack owners non Goans in the first place ??? Are the Goans soooo greedy ??? Cant they run it on their own like the good old days??? Cancel all the licenses wherein goan’s havr sublet to ghantis
