This is probably the best ICC final ever witnessed! Heart goes out to NZ. They are the true winners. They deserve to win. The best part of this result is the calmness of Kane Williamson. He handled the result maturedly and moved on. When a player representing a nation, that's how you should be. He respected the laws. He respected the game. He respected the law in the result. It really hurts when you lost a world cup by such bare margins. They did all good but luck was not on their side. I am sure the scenes would have completely different had that extra runs were not there from the bat of stokes. Hard luck for the kiwis.

Invoking spirit of cricket against rules and against Ind(former colony) but fine going against same spirit and hugging rules against NZ(another colony). English Crowd booed, English players openly expressed displeasure, English commentator rebuked India when Bell was out by rules in a less prominent match and at a less critical juncture. Double standard creatures could win a title first time in half a century by deceit. ICC being an English organization seems to have helped as well.
