Wow, impressive! You deserve way more of viewers! Thank you for this video, I didn't know that Auxerre is a so beautiful city. For the little cities, it's absolutely true, but It's probably everywhere the same? (I've lived in India, more you go deep in the country side and smallest the villages are more kind and helpful the people are). Now I live in a small town in the mountains (Cévennes) and our life have nothing compare with Paris life, and the people are clearly more friendly. Parisians are under stress, in crowded place, far of the nature (for sure, surrounded by beautifull architecture), and live with a feeling of potential danger everywhere. Here, life is slow, without stress, you can rent for nothing a large flat when in Paris most of the people crave for space, we don't lock our door in my "bulding", we are surrounded by nature, and because you could need the help of your neighbours you yourself need to be helpful and united. So it's more easy to be nice. I hope Anton that you no longer have any pain and that you were able to return to a normal life?
Salut Victoria, Anton here. Thank you very much, we are glad you liked the episode! 😊Indeed, life in Paris is stressful, and houses are definitely more like cupboards for so many, unfortunately. Nature plays a huge part in having true balance in life. We often miss the sea and have discussed it on many occasions to maybe move to a coastal city, but so far, it hasn’t passed the discussion stage 😂 I’m doing much better and am just glad to be getting back on track. Its looking quite empty. The famous holiday months or? I agree in general. The smaller the town,the kinder the people. I guess its just a "mirror" of their more peaceful way of living. Also probably its interesting for them to have visitors,while in Paris pretty much everyone is tired of this. Whatever the reasons,kind people are always appreciated. Its not the 1st time you mentioned kind people that you met and I personally like this from you. Its always good to admit when you were received and treated with kindness. No matter who those people are and part or not of the video. We feel the vibe. 😃 P.S. How are you doing?!
Salut! Anton here. Now that you mention it, indeed, the city was a little empty, but this was recorded on the day of la fête de la musique, so people started coming out later in the evening, just as we were rushing back to catch out train. Shortly after there was a huge thunderstorm, so we probably didn’t miss much anyway. ☺️ Auxerre is now one of our favourite towns in France. It’s just so pretty and has a good vibe about it. I’m doing much better, thank you for asking. We have quite a bit of catching up to do with the episodes, so we’ve got a busy month ahead 😂
