Wow! Amazing video and singing. Its great to hear a classically trained singer sing anything. I wonder what the song would have been like if Rashid Khan was commissioned for it.
This is exactly what I was looking for! The deep analysis of all three versions, explaining the Ragas and the vocal demonstrations with additional embellishments. Great singing is an understatement! Thanks so much Vishweshji!!
Great rendition of very complex music compositions. 👏👏👏🙏 keep up the great noble work. While listening to your last part of this episode, that music tone made me to remember the popular Kannada emotional film song “kanneera Dhaare Idheeke Idheeke” sung by Dr Rajkumar. Please correct me if I am wrong about the similarity in the actual raga between the two compositions. Best Regards
Sir.... Obviously your classical saragam singing is outstanding... But if you noted... Pain, one type of anger and feelings of revenge are included in Sonu's song.

Certainly Vishweshji has this Vishesh quality in approach to understanding and analysis coming from his eternal quest for love and knowledge in music.
My two cents to this particular composition is that music director has experimented well within the same jaathi of ragas and well within keeping the harmony intact. Mishran. Some notes stick out and some other notes intended to be contrasted in the context ie purposely putting a shuddha note in the ascent and when the komal note is then played during descent the contrast is better amplified . Not sure how many would like too much of it one composition so it is a delicate balance when there is a Mishran of ragas.
