    Yo, it's been brought to my attention that basically this same exact video was made a year ago by another creator. I hadn't seen it but I genuinely feel so bad about this. Please go check out Dobpen's video th-cam.com/video/sq0cNCneiw8/w-d-xo.html

    you could also go into sculpt mode and use the grab or inflate and just adjust it very simply, even with no sculpting knowledge this will get VERY fine results.

    These tutorials are amazing, been playing around with cloth sims and they are super fun. Could someone explain what shear and bending do and why we turned them down. honesly tthats the one thing that would make these tutorials better is a liitle more explaining why u do what u do

    • @attimp4
      @attimp4  ปีที่แล้ว

      The bending value affects how much the material resists bending. So the higher it is, the less bending you have. The shear value is how much the cloth will stretch under it's own weight.

    • @glooberofficial
      @glooberofficial ปีที่แล้ว

      @@attimp4 ooohhhh i was convinced shear was something else, thanks so much for the clear explanation!

    Hi, great tutorials you are doing. Thanks. You mentioned bridge for the fabric. I have done a bit of googling but can't find any web page with that name. Can you clarify what bridge is/where it is? Thanks

  • @gordonbrinkmann
    @gordonbrinkmann ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice video 👍 But clicking "Select" before "Assign" in the Material Properties. The "Select" button is to select faces that have that material assigned to them, but in your case there are none since you were just about to assign it. The good thing is, this button only adds to the current face selections and doesn't replace them. Otherwise your 3 minutes of edge selecting would have all been lost.

      Dude I do know this but I literally cannot turn off the habbit LOL. I didn't even think about the fact that I am teaching that habbit to people

      @@attimp4 Strangely enough you don't do it when assigning the vertex group for the hair. 😆

  • @alaslipknot
    @alaslipknot ปีที่แล้ว

    I like the learning part of the cloth simulation, but I have a feeling that this could have been done much much easier if you just sculpted the inner part :p

    • @beyondblender
      @beyondblender ปีที่แล้ว

      Plus, another way would be to just use proportional editing from the start. Sculpting would be good in that you could add creases. But, then, using Cloth and enough pressure and geometry, you'd get the same result. Cool stuff, many options, all good...
