    How many brush collections does WG need? Agreed, Rephr are great and I like that can it be bought individually, only £10 per brush when synthetic brushes cost more!

      I think WG are superior than Rephr, but you can’t beat Rephr prices 😉

    I just purchased the Chanel palette after seeing it in person. Only the bottom right shade is orange-y the other colours are very complimentary for neutral skin tones.

      The left half is particularly beautiful. Enjoy your purchase! 😘

    I bought the Chanel pallet and I am fair with cool undertones. It looks beautiful. The pink shades in the pallet are stunning. There is one shade that is kind of copper. I think it will look beautiful as an eyeshadow. ❤❤

    I love your take on all of these. For me and my v sensitive, rosacea skin; illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream is the only cream for me and it comes in a 200ml size. Because my skin is so sensitive I struggle to find foundations without fragrance. For now I’m using Merit and I’m enjoying it. 😊

    I’m really interested in the Hermes blush.

    The only thing I am tempted by is the green single shadow from Chanel, but I will wait to swatch it in store and buy it on sale if I end up liking it a lot. The palette looks cute but not enough to tempt me.

    • @bobmindset
      @bobmindset  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      That green is tempting, but it’s not something I would use. I’m thinking about my TF Soleil et Line that has a similar shade deserving more love…

    I completely agree that Hermes needs more cool toned powders and products. I may forego the blush after all.

    Wayne has confirmed that these brushes are natural bristles so I'm intested to see reviews. Some of his brushes of old are my most used & unique to my collection such as the coveted Air brush & the Artisan set is a gem. I skipped his synthetic releases of late but I'm intrigued by this forthcoming releae so we'll see. Hopefully it's the beginning of a resurgence of his former natural hair brushes. I know he had some bad luck with business deals in the psst so I wish him well going forward.
    I'm happy to see Chanel produce some cooler lip products. Those colours are perfect for me in what's summer time now in Australia. I have 3 shades, the pink, red & berry, & I'm not disappointed.

    I’m buying the Chanel oversized palette. I loved the Chanel holiday palette. If you mix the orange and purple colours you get a warm brown, and the orange and pink gives you a pretty coral colour. I’m thinking that orange in the new palette will be great to mix with the holiday palette also. I think the oversized palettes are good value and I always reach for them. They are easy to use and the formular is great.

      I saw another TH-cam beauty reviewer mix the shades in the new Chanel oversized highlighter/eyeshadow palette & it was absolutely gorgeous! Agree, I'm also a fan of the oversized palettes.

    I learnt German a few years ago and it was enough to start to understand written press and simple books.. but have not practiced since and have lost most of it. I had a German boyfriend then which was helpful! I would like to retake it at some point. Hoping to stay strong with all of this too 🙏- none really catches my eye but for the Chanel palette (and I have enough face palettes 😬)

    • @bobmindset
      @bobmindset  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I confess I’m tempted by that Chanel palette too, but I know myself and I’m aware I would end up decluttering it at some point. So better to avoid the purchase in the first place. I admire your progress with German! Let’s see how my journey goes.. 😘

    What a surprise could be if the new brushes of Wayne Goss will have fox bristle 😮, that was my instinct when i saw the photo... 😅
    I have few things on my wishlist...but nothing from "spring collection", except Lisa Eldridge concealer, that's in the basket.

    I don’t have a New Year’s resolution. I’m done with that. I studied German in college and promptly never used it. I plan to retire soon - maybe by year end. I will take language classes. I need to improve my Spanish. I was fluent and am still decent but I never practice it anymore and need a refresher. I also want to learn Mandarin. I hear that’s hard!

      @bobmindset  16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Wow! Congratulations on your retirement! It looks like the new year is going to bring big life changes for both of us! I’m moving to Germany soon, so I need to study a bit the language anyway.

    The Chanel palette is confusing. People have very differing opinions how warm it is 😂on some it's plain orange on others some are cool. To me it looks like all shades have a definite warm base so I assume it will all lean warm. I like warm tones but I think the colours are incredibly common and I definitely have very similar shades many times over

  • @ralphandleosmom9075

    I think the LE pencils are a pass for now. I just bought the same product for much less from a Korean brand, the Saem. I also use a NYX eye pencil in white smoke as spot concealer for myself. It’s my color and also inexpensive. I bet Lisa’s version is superior but not sure it’s worth it for me. No hate to Lisa as she’s a favorite but this product exists, especially in professional lines such as Ben Nye, and I also found it on a K beauty site.

    • @kateboy-rx6jt
      @kateboy-rx6jt 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Interested to know what the Saem pencil is like? I was recently looking at it but unsure of colour. Which shade did you get?

    • @ralphandleosmom9075
      @ralphandleosmom9075 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ I got the lightest and the green color corrector. I need to play with them more as I have not been wearing makeup much since I got them. My initial impression is that the formula is stiff and not as creamy as I would prefer. But I have not tried them out for long wear yet.

  • @divisioneparzero

    I was very tempted by this oversized Chanel palette, as I usually tend to buy them (I have Tendresse, which I love as a face palette, and Enchanted Night, which I love only as an eyeshadow palette). However, I’m skipping it this time because I don’t like half of the palette. The shades are too gold and orange for me.
    I’m interested in the eyeliners since I usually like Chanel eyeliners, and I’m also considering the Honey Bliss balm, though it’s not a must-have for me. As for the eyeshadow singles, I’m skipping those because I already have similar shades in a baked gelee formula, and I’m not a fan of Chanel’s eyeshadow singles formula-it’s just okay, in my opinion.
    Regarding other releases, Dior is a skip for me as well. I was slightly tempted by the Sweet Bouquet palette, but the formula isn’t great, and I’d rather pick up Chantecaille’s Nymph instead. Lastly, I’m eyeing Tom Ford’s Rose Exposed, but only if I can find it at half the price.

    • @bobmindset
      @bobmindset  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I totally agree with you about the oversized Chanel palette. I like the left half, but the right part is so orange that makes my decision a skip.
      I agree with you about the singles. Mariam said they remind her of the PMG highlighters (the pressed powder ones). I think she’s right.
      As for TF Rose exposed let’s see… I don’t think I’ll be able to get a discount on it. Let’s see.
      In my wishlist I have: Chantecaille Diana trio (I know, but I’m still attracted to it), maybe the other trio as well, Suqqu winter collection (still not online at Cultbeauty), LE concealer + a few eyeshadow singles, later on the Chanel pink balm and Viseart brow palette

    • @divisioneparzero
      @divisioneparzero 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I swatched the Suqqu winter collection palette in person and even considered buying it, but then I decided to be wiser and skipped it, lol. I kind of regret it a bit because it might have been my perfect Suqqu palette.
      I totally get you about the Chantecaille Diana trio. I feel the same way about the Nymph trio.
      I wouldn’t say I’m on a no-buy or low-buy, but I feel pretty determined to be selective with my makeup purchases this year. I just don’t have enough space to store everything, and I don’t want my collection to become so overwhelming that I forget what I even have (which is already starting to happen).
      I can’t emphasize enough how much I appreciate your videos. They always have such a sobering effect on me!
      By the way, I forgot to update you on my Hourglass order. It arrived in two weeks from the USA, and I didn’t have to pay any additional costs.
      P.S. So impressed with your dedication to learning German! Keep it up!

    I think I'll just buy the givenchy palette (after several reviews and swatches in different lights, obviously) because I don't think I have anything similar in my collection and I really like the formula (9.12 has been my most used palette this winter). everything else would be a waste of money for me personally because it's either too orange or I am already covered (especially with highlighters which tend to last for absolute AGES)

    • @bobmindset
      @bobmindset  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I totally agree. Moreover, most highlighters look all the same once applied

    Hello 👋

  • @UnboxLili88
    @UnboxLili88 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

    I still like Wayne Goss face brushes, but I'm honestly disappointed by all the synthetic collections he keeps releasing. First the White Gold Collection, then the red handle holiday brushes, then the Elegance Collection that's the John Lewis exclusive. I got excited seeing the Collector's Edition because I assumed it would be all natural like his original line of brushes...but then I feared it might be the natural and synthetic mix that you predicted or worse...full synthetic. I will wait and see I guess.
    I really like Hermes makeup (I have a warm undertone) but I just cannot justify paying full price. I only allow myself to buy the refills. I definitely want the H-blush but I will probably have to wait ages for them to release the refill.
    I didn't have a New Year's resolution, but I guess I could say continuing to learn German is mine. I've been in Deutschland for over a year and speak about as well as a toddler. 😅

      @bobmindset  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Oh thank you so much for this comment! I like the old WG brushes made of dyed goat, the brown ones. The Air brush was another hit. Unfortunately synthetic is the future, natural bristles are becoming more and more expensive. Let’s see these new ones.

    • @bobmindset
      @bobmindset  16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      With warm undertones, these corals and rose golds are amazing! I see your point, I picked some Hermès refills too, but I decluttered everything. Not for me (yet)

    • @UnboxLili88
      @UnboxLili88 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@bobmindset That's understandable. I hope they will come out with many more options and in tones that will suit you! And the Wayne Goss dyed brown goat hair plus air brush were my top two favorites as well! I have the brown hair in his original Fan 15 before he released the undyed version and it's one of my most precious brushes. I don't have any other fan brush like it. I think rephr has a dupe, but in my opinion rephr's hair quality is the equivalent of Koyudo's lower grade saikoho...which is still lower than wayne's. Hakuhodo probably has something similar but Hakuhodo is incredibly expensive these last few years, so I rarely buy from them anymore. Wayne kept answering people on Instagram over the years that he would bring back the Air Brush...but I can't believe he'd release all these other brushes before the return of that one. I don't know if it's a money issue or that he isn't working with his original brushmakers anymore to have them made again. He has really tough competition from Sonia G though. I can understand that. So many of my favorites are from her and replaced previous WG favorites.

    • @bobmindset
      @bobmindset  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      I totally agree about Rephr. They’re cheap, so lower quality bristles. Rephr synthetic ones are great though. Different type of brushes but I was impressed. I own that fan brush 15. A tad too big for me, but I see your point. And yes, I think Sonia G. Has replaced WG over time
