The bat rules need to be changed for travel ball. If you want to use a big barrel bat then it has to be a USA bat, if you want to use a bat with a lot of pop (USSSA bats) then you should have to use the old skinny barrel bats (the previous little league bat rules)
If they are constantly late then NO - but if they can handle it with the approach then yes. I challenge the kids in practice to size up to gain some strength (as well as heavy bat and camwood drills!)
I played during the early to late 90’s… “Gorilla Ball Era”… there were no certifications. You picked out whatever color combo you liked the most. That was it. You could use it for every league you played in. This info would have been useful before I bought my 8yo son 2 USSSA bats not realizing we couldn’t use them for his LL team. At least he’s got travel ball covered if he plays this summer
@@beabetterballplayer fun fact… I just learned that Easton came out with a 20th Anniversary bat in 2019/2020 of the Easton Redline C-Core (Gorilla Bat Era’s Finest!)… just bought one… I bought my son a Jugs pitching machine since my BP pitch is garbage… so now I’ll get to relive my Glory Days and coach him as well… It’s a life worth living!!!! Hello. I live in Brazil and I’m looking to buy a bat for kid of age 9 to 10. And it needed to be a bat that can hit a hard ball. Can you tell me witch bat is good for them? I have one that is 31” but is too heavy for them and I’m looking for a bit smaller and lighter one.
In USA the bats are getting lighter, weaker, and less durable. Outside of one bat, composite is far weaker. I own an 28inADV1 and my 9yo couldn't exceed 36mph with it. 29in Rawlings Chaos was 34mph. Cat9 42mph, 28in ALX 42mph, 28in Meta 43mph, 28" Prime 919 46mph, 29 PWR 47mph Simply the 28in Prime is the GOAT and the 29in PWR is the next step up. The Prime has no sting and the end load gives a perfect swing. Both bats are the best and extremely reliable. The Cats I have seen split, the ALX broke, and ADV1 is just a waste of money. The 360 was a hotter bat. USSSA he has a 23 29in MDX orange 29in Meta and 27 ALX. 27 ALX 46mph, 29 MDX 44mph, cat9 49mph, Meta 49mph. USSSA composite is worth the money.
I’d go with a 26 inch CAT www.headbangersports.com/collections/shop-all-usa-baseball-stamp-approved-bats/products/2021-marucci-cat-11-2-5-8-usa-baseball-bat-msbc11yusa?variant=40329704734902 - one of my favorites for USA

You have a point! I wish there wasn’t such a big difference
The USSSA skinny barrels are much hotter than the new USSSA big barrels once they are broken in.
ur a great dad tbh
Thank you!
Do you think challenging a kid with size and strength to hit a lower drop bat is beneficial ?

What's the difference between a senior league versus a junior Big barrel in the USSA bats? My son is 9u, not sure which he could use.
The junior big barrel is setup to hit off coach or machine pitch, the senior league is made for kid pitch. If he’s in kid pitch go senior!
@@beabetterballplayer Ok, thank you so much!

Does the 26” Easton speed have tball on it or is baseball rated?
You can most certainly use it for Tball - it has a USA rating on it so all little leagues its ok to use!
What bat do you need for school teams or does it vary?
For highschool is any BBCOR bat ✅
Thanks
Np!
What bat would you recommend for a 6 year old USSA playing travel ball ?
I would say an alloy 26 inch bat like a cat x or cat 9 would be a great fit!

Thank you for the answer.
Can you tell me if Icon is the bland name or a type of bat?
@@Isaki-qp6io its the name of the bat - brand is Rawlings!
What bats can I use for middle school
What age is the kid and what league are they in? Kinda dictated by the age and league!

Awesome insight! Yeah usa bats outside the glow stick are weaker!
I have a small 10yo that has to play 12u. He is a 60lb kid. Is there a good balanced bat for him that he could swing easier?
Is he playing little league or travel ball?
Any bat you would recommend for a 6 year in Little League. Has to be USA bat

Usssa bats are typically dirt cheap at 2 3/4 barrel
Some yes!
Thanks for the breakdown
No problem 👍 thanks for watching!
Basically USSSA perform like metal bats, USA like wooden bats.
Yeah that’s a good comparison
I’m 11 and I’m going into little league, I just got the cat 9 connect, am I allowed to use it?
Yes as long as it’s a USA stamped bat!
