In modern dance, Madame Guillem can see her athletic past. I think it's too heavy. Madam does not have the plasticity of the dance. This is a private opinion. I ask you not to be offended.

Thank you for this treasure! I be been trying to find out those old shows that Maurice Béjard created for Sylvie for a while now. Am French and recall a few TV Documentaries on them. She has always been my favourite dancer, I started as a ballerina, then a gymnast. She went the opposite way, with so much talent. Thx again. Sylvie Guillem is a good ballerina. But! There are many Russian ballerinas much better than her in ballet. I remember the noise that the media created. Because it was our response to Russian. Better than the dancer we did not have then. I'm sorry, it's true.
I love Sylvie, but if you'll notice, I've mostly featured Russian ballerinas in my videos. Vaganova is my favorite and the graduates over the last 10-15 years are just exquisite!

She's more so a contemporary dancer. She does traditional as well, but she did a lot of contemporary work.
