Your storytelling and sense of humor are pretty unique compared to other travel vlogs I've watched. I like it -- keep it up. But it was when you left the candy store with a Cadbury Double Decker that I had to give you a thumbs up. 🍫
Thanks hun, that was actually entertaining. I don't know what I expected, but maybe it was more lighthearted than i had anticipated. There is a saying in the English speaking world that the German sense of humour is NO LAUGHING MATTER - it's nice to see that contradicted.
Dear Erika, my wife and I love your videos and your silly sense of humor. It makes me feel like I am there with you. Please keep sharing your travels and may we run into each other some day.
My Friend! Thank you for wonderful video! It is really interesting and motivating! Cannot wait when all of us start travel again! Thank you for helping to promote tourism!
A fun video I spent a few years in Germany in the early seventies I all ways liked it I was in koln for a few days it's changed a lot I must get back there one day
Düsseldorf is also nice! For the rest of them you can check out my "visiting ugliest cities in germany" it s about essen, dortmund, duisburg etc. And then see if it s worth visiting for you, they have a diffetent vibe compared to the other cities
@@helloerika Goed idea. Thanks. Will do that. Was also thinking maybe London but it's insanely expensive! Do you want me to bring over some unhealthy American peanut butter? lol
Just came back from Cologne for an exhibition at the Cologne Fair. It was a nice relaxed city & I’m happy to see residents & not just tourists even in the city center. But not my favorite city to be honest. There’s really nothing else to see than the Cologne Cathedral & Hohenzollern Bridge. In terms of chocolate factory, I prefer the ones in Belgium. And for some reason, I had a hard time making friends with Germans. At first I thought maybe because I’m Asian? But when I went to Belgium, it’s totally different. Belgians are much friendlier. I don’t think it’s because of language barrier because both are bilingual in English. In terms of shopping district, I’ve seen a lot better in other cities in Europe. If it’s not because of the trade fair, I won’t be staying for 3 days. A day trip or an overnight stay would be enough for Cologne. But I enjoyed walking & biking around. But again, not as much when I did in Belgium (especially Ghent) & Amsterdam.
