If you feel uncomfortable using your filter past 0 %, you may reset the timer by pressing front and rear button for like 5 seconds till you hear 3 beeps. Please note you need to add the device to the app again after that, but all settings, except for the name, are preserved.
Mine also says "install an official filter" but the message disappears after I reset the filter (hold rear button for 6 secs) and it seems to not show up again even after turning on, at least for now
146 days is the estimated life span of a new filter, don't worry about it, when you notice the air quality doesn't really improve then it's time to replace.
Thanks. Valuable info that it is functional with non RF filter in. What if you put the new fake filter with old RFID sticker? Is it measures a real air purity to estimate state of filter or just measures working time? A yeah saw below you broke the sticker...
Two Questions: 1. Does it works after 0% also? 2. After installing a copy filter, the error appeared as Install an original filter, then how did it showed 100%? Do we need to do anything to make it work after adding a fake one. You escaped that part in your video.
I actually vacuum my filters out. I need to buy another, but they are so expensive in australia. Thanks for the reset tip. i have the mainland china one and its super annoying to connect via the app, your location needs to be china. Im assuming to allow free spying on your network?
so i can take away the RFID Chip if the machine say blow it out and youse it a few month more? I also have a fabric and a acticcoal matt for kitchen around it 👌👍
I have chinese version and getting 0% during boot up then the rest are chinese. I assume the filter requires reaaplcement. Please confirm if the % during the initial boot is the filter life.
based on your video, i put a very thin metal plate under the NFC reader and now i can re-use the filter again and again until i see reduction in the air quality.
@@ignacioabeljr.7580 Sorry for the late reply. Just by looking at it , its pretty clean. But remember the white filter does not filter small particles. It may look clean but it has small dust particles.
@@Pawel5837 the air quality sensor is located on the rear before the air is filtred. If you use an old filter you will eventualy get worst air quality.

O thanks.
However the days remaining is still 146 , how does one justify that
@@djsinghsaini It's just a 5 month reminder to replace filters. Dunno what the actual lifespan of a filter is.

The sticker contains the run hours so that wouldn't work you could make a spoof tag with 0 hours

Yes, it will continue to work, but the error will continue to show.
Thanks. I thought the machine will not work without the original filter.
Glad I could help

Great 👍🏻 I just washed my filter at 27% life and was worried it may not restore or work after remaining life stored in rfid sticker.
I've got the same "Install an official filter" message on a new Xiaomi Purifier. The product arrived sealed.
What if peel RFID tag from old filter and stick to new. If any one tries , please update here.
Did try that but it broke.
Tested, it shows me that new filter need to be replaced :)
Do you recommend? As it’s hard to buy original 1 from eBay / Amazon/ Ali express
Still using the 3rd party filter without problems. The filtering is good .

In our country filter has the same price like device
does it still work with 0% filter life
Yes, it displays the message replace filter.

edit: the activcoal mat made too many particles. only the fabric for dust.

In my when boot apears "Use original filter only"
Crying sound 0:00

The first lasted almost an year, but my reagion is not very dusty.

Its clean but still cannot use anymore?
The device is working, normal. The only thing is that sometimes you see a message "Install original Filter"
How long your original old filter last with you adding some white filter?

If your machine displays good air purity then why to pay or a new filter?
