If you look on the net there is a picture that worker took from the top of the 450 ft kingda ka coaster at Six flags in Jackson and you can see the tops of both skylines in opposite directions. Philadelphia is slightly closer to Jackson than NYC, but because of its almost central location and the height of NYCs buildings you can see both
My Uncle was a pilot with American Airlines and he would tell me coming into Philly from the west they already have Philly Airport in sight directly over Lancaster Pennsylvania. On a clear day.
Landed on 27R. When at the Walt Whitman Bridge the altitude is about 1700 feet. My guess is this flight originated west of Philly based on the approach path you took.
@@larrycopeland2413 If you landed on 27R you might have flown over central NJ on the coast, or over near Atlantic City. If you did see Atlantic City you would have flown over a fix called Cedar Lake which is a VOR, and I see these planes from my house all the time landing in Philly. They are at that time about 7-8K feet in altitude. I use Flightradar 24 app, and see the real time info of the flight. You can even use it during your flight, if the airline let you use wifi. Safe travels.
I was wondering where you flew from because that's silly it doesn't say where you flew from in the video. I mean like it tells you where you flew to but not from. Why is that?
We just never figured it mattered where the flight originated from since it was views of landing at an airport. We will keep that in mind and indicate in any future landing or takeoff videos. Thanks for watching.
Upon landing a last look of the Philadelphia skyline is seen. There seems to be something hovering in the sky above the skyscrapers. Is it another plane??
That is a small plane pulling an advertising banner. Not sure what event they are targeting, over in that area. Possibly something at Temple University.

Well I was a front man for a late 90's hardcore band and I REFUSED to fly!!! : O long story short I got on Ministry's bus because I thought they were going to Ohio with us.... they weren't : ) so I travelled two states in the opposite direction ... hahahaha .... (they had to give me two Xnax to get me on the plane)

I've flown into PHL a few times from Boston, and the approach joins up with this one southeast of PHL and comes back up over the river.

Also, I just looked at that video you are referring to, and you can clearly see the wing and wingtips of the plane are completely different.
This footage is new, you can see now towers that weren't there in 2014 like the Comcast Technology Center, FMC Tower and the rising W Element Hotel
